Man I just got a 2012 dyna switchback and all the chrome is an eyesore… gotta start the blackout process. Any thoughts on cerakote? I’m loving this build series.
@martinjamesdesigns37482 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ryan! Yes powder coating all the chrome makes a HUGE difference! I looked into Cerakote and it’s quite a process. You actually need to be certified and it is more for guns and small meticulous parts because it’s a thinner layer but the application process is more time consuming and complex in my opinion. I haven’t done it myself though so I can’t necessarily say which one is better!

Looks great. Good job. It's about 2 years later now. How's the paint job holding?

Thanks! The bike is still in amazing condition. The engine paint held up amazing. I believe the prep is the most important part for the paint to adhere properly

How many hours of labor just to take the engine apart like that.
@martinjamesdesigns37488 ай бұрын
I’m not sure. Maybe 6-8 hours to get the engine out of the bike
