Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us. I for one greatly appreciate it. I personally like my gauges on the tank, mainly for aesthetic purposes, but like you said you have to look down at them while riding which is very unsafe so I installed a small digital gauge up on my bars. I’ve also already changed my seat. I haven’t found the need to change my suspension yet but I really haven’t had it that long either nor been on a long trip with it. I definitely am going to be upgrading my headlight as the stock one isn’t very good as you mentioned. I also added mid controls which is a really nice upgrade for riders 5’11” and shorter. I am currently looking to purchase saddlebags and a louder exhaust system as well but those are my own personal touches. Thanks again and always “Keep 2 down and round”

I can second a lot of these. I recently upgraded to poly bushings, biltwell Tyson’s, and Vans grips to accompany my TSport fairing, made a huge difference. The Moons headlight it too good of a light not to buy. Super easy upgrade and well worth the money. Great video and great info! As far as the front. I redid my fork seals recently and threw in a progressive front suspension kit and it got rid of all that brake dive and was only like $85-90. 👌👌

I'm doing: 1. Shift linkage/Bars- think they're equally important. 2. Seat/Fairing 3. Lights (back roads in East TN are DARK) 4. Suspension/Pegs 5. Brakes 6.2-1, tuner, Dyno (already has an intake). Learned my lesson with a Victory I had, went out and did pipe, intake and Dyno. Still had stock bars, tires, brakes. Made power that it couldn't really fully use. Great vid fellas. For stronger forks seems the best route would be the progressive spring kits they are stronger than stock and easy to install. 6th would be cam bearing since stock ones are junk and if they ever break up you're in trouble. Put a new cam(not stock)and possibly lifters when in there.

Mine is a H-D FXDC 2012. I put General Dynamic Lightning front and rear as well as their turn signals. I have a crash bar with Kurkykyn hwy pegs and Kurkykyn hand grips, I use a throttle rocker. I put stock Harley Davidson floorboards with forward foot controls. The toe shifter is longer. I have a H-D touring seat with a passenger back rest & luggage rack. I’m looking for better saddles bags, mine are stock synthetic velcro attachment and snap buttons. The Velcro comes unattached at speed so I have a workman’s belt tightening on each of them. I have Legend Shocks front and rear. Now the front forks are so much improved you can run over anything without feeling any loss of feeling. I recommend Legend front shocks. I think the shocks may lower your front end by an inch or two. But it’s a complete change for the better.

All good suggestions. One point though! If you elect to put brighter head lights, align them slightly down and slightly right. Even trucks with lift kits should be aware that you blind oncoming traffic, yet, you see better. Adjust rude lighting. Not because of laws, because it’s courteous. Something as simple as using a wall to adjust. A night of running watching bright lights or misaimed ones, is unsat. !

My top 5 upgrades are all reliability, safety, and performance oriented. 1) dual disk brake conversion ( or upgrading rotors if you have an fxdls ) 2) s&s cam plate, oil pump, and gear driven cam conversion. (Eliminates the only week point in the bottom end for most applications, the cam chain tensioner) 3) dynojet power vision unit (best tuner out there, and doubles as a digital speedo / tach when mounted on your bars. 4) custom cycle engineering front are rear motor mounts / stabilizer + top stabilizer link 5) suspension, rear first or both ends at the same time if possible

@Tecton4205 жыл бұрын
@@dynademos shiiit you're going to ballin route. The only thing racetech produces that will match or outperform the nix 22 is their g6 forks (inverted, full custom built to your spec after you order) it would basically be a one time purchase for your front end to be dialed in completely. But there's no comparison to the potential performance of the nix 22s and racetechs springs / gold valve emulator, ohlins takes that all day.

@@dynademos you know rwd is coming out with a cartridge kit of their own too right ? It might be ocd but I always prefer to keep front and rear suspension from the same manufacturer if possible. Hey quick question. I have a 2012 Wide Glide and I want to change the front end and eliminate that rake. I have the stock 49mm front end/triple tree. So I wanna do the mid glide conversion up front but can’t make up my mind on what new tree would be the best bet for what I want. Also because I wanna throw a bigger tire up front instead of the skinny one. What do you guys suggest? Also, is that all I have to do is swap the tree?

I ride an 02 low rider. 14 inch apes, fat boy front end with big fenders, spiked wheels and white walls. Shirt shots. Papers seat. Floor boards. Awesome set up for me personally. Club style is sick too. Do it up.
