Warbirds with retracts have wheel axles behind leading edge. Must use up elevator to keep nose up, then release at right time to let tail rise, steer with rudder . My Tower Miss America P-51 needs up elevator and well timed release to let tail rise and proceed through lift off and up elevator during landing to keep nose up.

Which motor and esc did you upgrade to on this plane. I have this plane as well and it’s so slow it’s boring to fly
@michaelfoxx44986 жыл бұрын
nice maiden flight there, i really like this plane but ive noticed that the landing gears are very narrow, compared to the mustang and corsair, thats is why the landing is so bumpy, looking forward to buy my first warbird and i like the look of this plane, isnt it harder to land a narrow landing gears?

The footprint is definitely narrow on this plane. I didn’t really notice unmanagable problems landing the plane. The relationship between the cg and wheel axles is important though. Too far forward and the plane tips.

Nice. Seems fairly predictable in the air. Have you tried changing the motor timing as per the Motion RC video? Sometimes that clears the startup stutter.

Reset to defaults and tried all three tiers of timing. Don't know why they haven't addressed this.

+jmxp69 Well that's disappointing. I replaced the ESC in my Dynam Waco with a 45amp Mantis from Motion.

Did that get rid of the stutter for you? I have a Suppo 50a ESC I got from Grayson I want to try ($11) and a I've always had good luck with Hobbywing Skywalker ESCs. Amazon sells the 60a version for $20.

Yes, no stutter now. I've heard great things about the Hobbywing ESCs.

I think they're one of the best kept secrets out there. Very economical and I have yet to have a problem with a plane I could 100% attribute to a Hobbywing ESC.

Which is the better flier, the Corsair or the Hellcat? In terms of fun to fly and capability?
@RCVideoReviews7 жыл бұрын
Definitely for me: The Corsair. I believe the wing chord and span give it better handling characteristics in the sky and it just seems more graceful. One caveat to this though: It's *really easy* to lose orientation on the Corsair because of the dark color scheme. You have to keep a close eye on it and trust your instincts regarding attitude. I'd highly recommend flying a reasonably close pattern and gradually add distance as you become more comfortable with it. FWIW: I sold my Hellcat to a friend. Corsair is still in the hangar.

I have both and for me it's the Hellcat. I like the Corsair but the Hellcat is more maneuverable and the landing gear is more forward then the Corsair. So very few if any nose overs. Both are great flyers and will do any maneuver you want in the air. I just like the Hellcat better because it's smaller and looks nicer in the air.

I am on the fence between the Dynam P-47 or the Hellcat. Any suggestions?
@RCVideoReviews6 жыл бұрын
I love my P47. Still have it, still fly it. I actually sold the Hellcat some time ago.

Does this warbird come with retracts?
@RCVideoReviews6 жыл бұрын
Splendric it does. Stock out of the box with them.
