I’d like to know more about adjusting the conditions at which dynamic airflow is enabled. I would assume this would change based on valve timing. With a long cam (and/or more overlap) does the enable rpm need to raised significantly?

also remember when the maf is failed and ur tuning vve the ''prediction coefficients'' are still in play so zero them out whilst adjusting vve then can re populate once its back to a blended state, or keep then zeroed if ur staying vve/ve only

Another good video BUT... You have never done a video on transient. When you slam on the throttle you get a massive lean spike. How do you fix that? You haven't done a video on this. Maybe you can go through this process.

Most of that is all VE table issues, but I will do one on the transient stuff too

I have no idea how much you'd possibly even know about tuning an 05 ford mustang but it doesn't have a VE table i would almost think changing cam phaser tables would be how to dial in for maximum efficency and driveability. I'm very new to tuning and got hp tuners to create custom tunes myself plus my bama tuner didn't support the specific cam for whatever reason. Looking for any tips

So, start with VE/VVE, then MAF, and iterate a few times? I think that’s what you’re saying.

Alpha-N is strictly rpm vs throttle position, it's about as basic as it goes so standard error graphing to the rich side on the final tune

There’s a popular shop not to far from me that is notorious for doing MAF only and not telling people. I called them out on it once and they said that maf is all you need, VE is for limp mode.

I also went to a shop like that... MAF only tuned my supercharged application. Relying on trims under 2000RPM and if I ever run out of MAF who knows

My original tuner said the same thing and also said he never does E85. The only thing he had that I didn't was my $600 and a Dyno.
