4:00 you need to know the fuel mix, why are you even looking at the ECU data, you need wide band output using a KNOWN GOOD SENSOR to verify the reading being stored in the ECU, the known good sensor will tell you exactly what's wrong,

WHAT IS IT? pretty sure it doesn't have a dyno to measure torque or does it rely on a g sensor? almost seems like he barley understands 7:30 ok this is just just seems like some kind of glitch in the matrix, so it puts it in a more safe tune? this is some kind of fail safe,

I've been running my '74 maverick for over 20 years as my daily driver with a 289 that's been bored and some head work, 280H cam, 4bbl carb, headers... and installed a narrow band gauge to help me tune the carb, and I've tuned it and I can keep it stable. I always thought a pcm would be relative as in start with it's base table and adjust based on average o2 between pulses... till I finally got a 'newer' vehicle... now I have a 2006 colorado I5 3.5L, and got a obd2 dongle and some apps, and I see that o2 bouncing around... I'm also finding it extremely difficult to find a way to find even pid's for my app to read all data like fuel level/pressure, and oil pressure/temp, much less how to tune it to simply get everything out of the engine that it's capable of, mpg and hp... been trying to find just some basics, like what hardware I need to connect to pcm and what I need to find and upload a tune file... It's a old truck so I figure they should be out there, and in the early days people did a 'home grown' way of tuning pcm's... I'm just trying to find the most cost effective way to just improve my old truck (new to me and now my daily driver...)...

Hello Kyle, I have been following Your HP Tuners tutorials for many years. I learned a lot of it in re-tuning my C6 Z06 (Wide body) high compression LS7 engine - Thanks alot. About Your Canbus explaining; I also follow Dan Dulac who explained so mush about CanBus, when he had to reverse-engineeron the CanBus of his Ultima Lamborghini Engine and Gearbox interfacing to his MoTec Display. (Three parts tutorial About 9 month ago).

Man I have been having one heck of a time trying to program a 2006 Hummer H3 BCM. I've got tech line connect and a MDI clone however every time I try to program this thing it stopped mid-cycle and then retries three times with a failure code. Finally for some reason I tried it with the ignition switch off and surprisingly it took the firmware and tried to write at the end and then retried three times but now I have interior lights and everything seems to be working mostly my question is do you flash with the key off or on?

Hello. I’ve watched almost all your videos. They’re very engaging and interesting. I want to learn tuning with HP Tuners. Currently, I’m working on tuning my Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I’ve replaced the intake manifold and also installed injectors from the 6.4 Hemi engine. I wanted to ask you how to adjust the injectors, as I'm having trouble with it. I’ve followed your videos before and had success, but I can’t seem to find anything about injector adjustments and settings. Everything else is working well. I wanted to do it myself, and I’ve made some progress-the engine starts now, but it still runs a bit rough. Could you help me with adjusting the injectors?

Man i know that's an old video , but when i disable the maf its set the maf code and Car going on engine power reduce, i zero out maf table all over and do all sd procedure with maf codes off and its run 100% clean , with maf codes on its never works with gen5 gm truck or gen6 camaro , i deleted the maf just because maf reading is spikes as the maf location on my twinturbo kit , what are you doing on that p0101 , 102 & 103 codes ?

I have a 2011 that has this bad.. not sure why they say 2014 + cause to s of mo ey has been thrown at this truck and it shakes violently. It use to be around d 50 mh but now it shake going 10-15 and gets crazy bad the faster u go.. I bought a 2000 f250 7.3 manual and it runs great.. Fuck chevy trucks . To many head aches the last 15 years or more

K, I have installed this exact unit. The gauge is working perfectly but I cannot get it to log in HP tuners. I have the MPVI3 and chose the channel AEM 30- 30XX wideband channel 1. Any advice

GM half ton truck trans max out at just under 700 lbs of torque at the crank. So probably too high.

Love your vids! Started binge watching your Tuning101 a few months ago. Just found your Gen 3 LS playlist so been burning that into my head since thats the platform i'm on (2001 Suburban), stock with catback, cai, got .560 springs already with trunnion upgrades, just need the cam now, got HPTuners with ProLink, and just ordered my AEM X Series today.. In the next 2 weeks will pull my exhaust and have the bung welded in, and stoked to start tuning. Been practicing making histograms in the mean time lol.. Been a automotive tech for 15 yrs and now just starting to get into this kind of stuff. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and being able to deliver the information so well! Will be buying your GRG Layouts as well!

Ive bamboozled my way into getting my 07 Silverado to start and idle with 1000cc injectors... Now im rewatching all your gen4 and other videos to iron out idle before i start "street tuning".... Which i also have no idea how to do. Might have to take a class.... Well it seems I don't have nearly as many settings in HP tuners as you do. Wonder why

Been watching GRG for like 6 months now. Was burning it all into my brain. Then realized you have a Gen 3 Tuning specific (which i will be tuning -eventually-) Just got my HPTuners and will be doing my added bung for the wideband in a couple weeks, then swapping springs and adding a cam to my 01 Burban... But now i feel like im more knowledgeable of the Gen4/5 platform cuz ive burnt it into my head for months LOL. So now im binge watching the Gen 3 stuff. Your vids are awesome Kyle!

Iv had CAI that have worked but was on older cars and trucks. Now I just buy a good air filter maybe cut a hole in air box fit a flex hose in hole run hose to the best location suck cold air. Also I’ll take out any of the factory flex hose material replace with silicone piping were needed. Installed a ported 80mm TB on wife’s 18 3.6 Camaro. Mouth was ported to around 85mm had to port intake manifold mouth also ported runners. Anyway installed on car was very disappointed at first. So I did my air box mods added a spacer what a difference. No tune yet hoping to get a little more out of it. The red definitely looks cool but looked a little difficult but everything always harder than it should be hahaha Good stuff thanks for sharing car sounds awesome.
