Thanks for the video. I have Pro 6 and I have felt that there is such a wealth of things you can do with it that it could really do with some explanatory videos to make thee most of it. So I am pleased these videos are being produced so that we who use the software can learn to make the most of it.

Thanks so much for this, I hope you keep doing more! :) In the spirit of self-deprecating humor I hope you can take a little tease: "Van Gog?" ;) Really, though, DAP is a paradigm-breaking tool. As you said several times "it isn't a filter", which is absolutely right, but goes over the head of many people who've only recently been introduced to it. Again, great job, please keep them coming! You should have several prestigious art and design awards for this tool.

Thanks :) It would be great to have some contests, but I'll have to hunt for prices. I think Wacom used to be pretty good in giveaways, once they sent me a whole package without me even asking - but maybe times had changed. Even lenovo sent me once a 2 in 1 tablet as a freebee - sadly it was *junk* cough, cough.

I think that DAP is a great tool that helps save time for illustrators and photographers. I started with traditional drawing and painting ( graphite, watercolours, oils, acrylics, india ink) , also analog photography, and when I moved to digital painting, I used mostly Fractal Design Painter ( later Corel Painter) and Adobe Photoshop. Later, DAP helped to create images based on my own photos, that were then completed manually. As I said, it saves a lot of time when you want to paint a detailed background, for example. And about AI: I don´t think it will replace a program like DAP.

Even tho there are options, I find myself stuck on good old Acrylic. My photo's look cool. I just wonder how I can fix foilage in the photo paintings? They are always out of focus, even though the photo was fine and there was no wind moving it. Tried that one button for undoing but to no avail. Any ideas?

i have just bought the software compared to other similar programmes i found the final output astonishing, even on the standard settings, 1 thing i cant find much about and best way to use is the tonal value feature in the image browser, it touches on it in this video, but i cant find anything in more depth in how best to use it to chose a good prospect for processing any further help or a video explaing in a bit more details how best to use it would be great. thanks

Tonal value (the "Grade" tab) is something pretty common in photo editing in general and isn't exclusive to this program so you can search up "color grading" to understand more. But to keep it short and simple under this comment: The "rainbow circles" changes the colors of 3 different ranges of brightness: bright (highlights), normal (midtones), and dark (shadows). The "curve" determine how do you split those 3 ranges (and changing its brightness in the process)

YES! I love that watercolor shown, whatever the settings! I once used an acrylic painting and then put it thru the water color option. SOmetimes good some not so much. MEDIACHANCE< please answer KONAKON's question lol

The watercolor used at 3.23 is AZO preset. It works well when the input image is light colors.
