Hi ECKO! I'm one of the developers behind this add-on. Thanks for your review and kind words :) Just want to let you and anyone in the comments know that we are aware of an issue regarding the lanterns and paths which unfortunately requires a feature to be added to custom block mechanics which in the hands of Mojang. We are monitoring their updates and as soon as we can push a fix, we will :) In the meantime we are recommending that lanterns are turned off around paths. Have a great day!

hey, is this going to be ever fixed it said on hiker's friend page it was fixed but when I play my world it isn't it could also be an issue with updating, I did remove the add-on from my storage and try to redownload it once. I think I only ever saw all my add-ons update once it been several updates for some add-ons added since then and how does all this stuff work for updating add-ons?

the bug with the dirt path is because its setting air to a custom light block which causes the dirt path to think theres a block above it. It's a bug with the dirt path and people should report the bug if they haven't already, even using glass it turns the dirt path to dirt which should not happen

@YusufZetro honestly I think that's a bug. Light block is a transparent block like slabs or glass and so the dirt path should not be affected by it. I'm curious if glass also causes dirt paths to turn to dirt

This can be fixed by adding their own light omitting invisible block, as custom blocks don't currently destroy dirt paths as i'm aware of

I know what’s happening with the lantern The first bug is probably caused by the lantern placing light blocks around you on ground level, so the paths are registering blocks being placed on them. And on the second one, I don’t believe that’s a bug, but a feature. As in RL, you don’t need to be initially holding a lantern for it to produce light.

This is 100% correct! We are looking to fix the bug with the paths as soon as we get the mechanics for it out of experimental (this is in mojang's hands).

The lantern had a bug issue that's why the path keeps changing the sand and gravel falls on its own I think it's add one thick to everything that the light touches.

Doesn't work, shaders and ray tracing doesn't work for invisible light sources since it uses the color of the block or entity for the light color. Since the light block is invisible there's nothing for shaders or ray tracing to work off of so it just stays dark

Wouldn't work, shaders don't support invisible light sources such as the light block. If you were to change the torch to be invisible it wouldn't emit light anymore either even though it has emissive maps

It just proves dynamic lighting is possible in bedrock. Most of these features should be part of minecraft already. Another thing is why aren't there snowshoes anywhere? To get across powdered snow. They've existed since people lived in snowy areas.
