To anyone reading... If you read any interviews of them talking about this cover you'll see they were HUGE fans of NWA as a whole, Eazy-E, Ice Cube (he ACTUALLY wrote the song), and Dr. Dre's solo stuff. *According to interviews, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre have both heard this and like it.* Dynamite even took the pre-emptive legal care to make sure they got (and are still getting) paid royalties for it too! I love the Hummer H2 golf carts. Totally dates the video from when that was the ride to show up to the club in.

I actually had this ridiculously amazing idea to end a set with a boys in the hood acoustic cover. People would lose their god damn shit if it was done really well. I was sad for a second that it of course had already been done but this isn't quite what I had in mind. Still props though I got a good laugh. Bravo.

Eazy E would have loved this. If he were alive I bet he'd made a cameo.

ah yes, the good ol days... when we used to raise the roof, and backyard boogie... when we’d tell people to talk to the hand because the face don’t understand... When one pant sleeve was folded up and everyone threw up the Westside... ...the 90s were amazing.

I miss the 90’s. Your description takes me back. The name Ivan is one of my faves btw.
