Worldwide, really nice review of a great looking set of darts. The grip appears too grippy for me, and the length is longer than I prefer. BTW, really nice throwing. Thanks and keep the reviews rolling.

I love light darts, I’m able to aim where ever with out having to adjust the power, they just fly to the board where you want them to go. I played my friend with his 12 gram colonial darts and hit a 180 with them. I throw 18g demon gremlins and 20 g rvb gen 4 that I bought for $80 on Amazon… what a deal 😂

Great review, great BOOM average & great set of dart. I think I like the designg of these Leonard Gates (my new fave to acquire) compare to the Cosmo the I've watched a day ago. Keep on reviewing dart set so that we can have an options on what to buy.

Cheers Bouye. These were much nicer than the Cosmo but that also comes with a price tag that's doubled. Not that these will make anyone a better player but they did look and throw very nicely.

Thanks. I was genuinely shocked while throwing. During warmups there was no indication I would throw like that. I probably had 6-8 turns for a warm up. It went something like this... 55, 100, 60, 45, 60, 59, 105. Then I hit record and didn't miss much 😂 I did throw them again later on at night and once I got used to them they continued to work well for me.

Interesting set of darts and great review. Nice that you got a new personal high review average. I’m not sure the length being 58mm would bother me and 20.5 grams is perfect for me. I never threw a dart that long. Would have to try for myself. Lastly is the price dilemma continues to piss me off.

Yeah, that price difference should make everyone mad. A-Z Darts is definitely taking advantage of his recent popularity by jacking up the price like that. Think about it for a second, an American dart player becomes suddenly popular overnight and your first instinct is to raise the price of your darts so they cost $50+ more than other shops. That's a slap in the face to your loyal customers. I bought these darts at Dartshopper but if Darts Corner had them in stock someone could use the 15% off discount code and get them for $66 plus $6 shipping. So $72 vs $140 at A-Z Darts. Tough choice huh?

I enjoy watching Leonard Gates because he keeps his composer he doesn't get frustrated. His math and lack of knowing what he needs to shoot at next is holding him back but that will come with more experience. But my favorite American player is Danny Baggish and always will be.

Great review! To be fair though, with the Gabriel Clemens darts you aimed for the bull with the last dart and hit a single 14 which brought the average down from 143.75 in the last visit, so I still think this was your best throwing demo yet

Congratulations on the new high average! Those darts certainly are long enough to be called spears. Since you’re in front grip territory these days, I’m wondering if you have you gone back to re-evaluate the Jose de Sousa darts? I believe those were drilled out quite a bit as well. Thanks! I got rid of the de Sousa darts so I can't comment there. It's odd though, the Darts Clearance darts were drilled out quite a bit, these were drilled out a lot and I have another review coming soon where the darts are drilled out an amazing 34mm deep. What's with so many of these companies drilling their darts out? I actually like it because we're able to adjust the weights so that's a nice feature.

What I found is the longer barrel darts suited me better. I think it can go both ways. For setting a record on the review, I would think you make keep these darts for awhile and see if they hold up throwing so well. But I can see if the grip is always on your mind when shooting, it can be a distraction impacting your game as darts is so mental. I give it a 8/10.

I have been enjoying the hell out of lighter darts of late. I used to play in local pub league 20ish years ago & used 28g. Picked darts back up semi-regularly couple years ago, stayed in the 24 range. Now I'm living happily in the 20g range. Will pick up a new set to mess with every other week or so. Having a blast messing with stuff like RD Featherlights (12g?? haha), or some real thin barrels. These darts look like they'd be fun to toss around, but Dynasty are juuuuust out of that "Cheap enough to mess around with" price range for me.

I just switched to larger flights on my match darts, the One80 Ultra's. I was going to do a video soon about trying to dial in a set of darts but I have to figure out how to go about making the video storyline. Imo that's one of the hardest things to do in darts. Figuring out the right stem length, flight size, point length that works best for your throw.

Leonard is definitely my favourite American dart player his math is kinda funky but it adds character to him and what matches do you actually play is it online against a computer or in person

Yeah, Gates was fun to watch at the recent US Darts Masters. It seems like he's in a good place at the moment because in his interviews he seemed like a genuinely happy guy. I used to play a lot over on Webcam Darts. Nowadays I rarely play at all except for the occasional matches against the Dart Connect bot.

@@victorshaffer5633 I'm American and I've noticed that many Americans play with really heavy darts. I have a theory about that... Here in the USA we tend to rely on very short formats and a ton of team events. Because of that we're not throwing many darts or not getting a turn very often. So there's never a chance to get tired so players gravitate towards heavier darts. The overseas players are used to playing a lot of singles matches and longer formats so they tend to use lighter darts in general. The top 32 PDC players use a dart that weighs 22 grams on average. At a best guess I'd say American players probably use a 24-25 gram dart on average.

Hmm, it might work. While the grip is extreme I think once you use them for a bit a person would get used to the grip pretty quick.

When a dart relies on tiny sharp edges for grip it will fade quite a bit in quite a short time. These aren't that deep cut and the rings don't look very spaced apart either. I suspect these would wear down to a high medium grip pretty quickly.

I think you're spot on here. Within a couple months I think the extremely sharp grip will fade a bit.

So by the looks, the grip looks similar to a ryan searle, but your description doesn't at all, so it's a very grippy dart mostly for front grippers because of the balance, and i love leonard, i always rewatch his match vs one of my favourites chris lim, worth give it a shot

You're right, the grip is very similar looking but all comparisons end there. Ryan's darts had a more smoothed over grip with no sharp edges at all. I would LOVE a 20-21g version of Ryan's darts. Leonard is great to watch when he isn't taking forever at the line. I think he has one of the most smooth throws in darts. He makes things look effortless.

It’s a shame I had a bad experience with Leonard. I beat him and apparently he wasn’t convinced I was a good enough player to do so and told me I was lucky. I was happy for him when he won but my first impression of Leonard was far from professional

I was a brand new player at a tournament in Houston that Leonard Gates was playing. I approached him and sat down and had a nice chat. Leonard lost that night to a great player name Fred (last name?). Now Fred was a guy who spoke to nobody the entire night but you could tell he was there for business (winning) and wanted no distractions. Guess it paid off.
