8:15 those first crossbows are absolute UNITS. I always originally played on easy mode, and at most, killed the first crossbow in 3-4 normal hits; and the regular bowman would die in 1-2, with no charge combos or anything needed.

DW 2-4 AI is brutal, they attack so frequently and most of their attack will stun you a bit. Compare to later series where regular soldier rather hit even the generals, changing difficulty only change their damage and health

It's long because there's 7 stages per Musou Mode, with a few more added because Rulers have additional stages and there are some Free Mode only stages. So playing everything in the game ends up being about 290-ish stages. It's really not even very difficult, it's just poorly balanced in a few areas. Particularly archers and musou officers. Archers just have insanely high damage output, defenses, and pin point accuracy for no apparent reason. Musou officers unleash their musous instantly, so you don't see them charge up for it like in later games. Meaning certain musous are instant death due to high damage output or if you get caught in a juggle depending on the musou in question.

For me Dw3 is better. I think is the best dw of all. First of all, the easy mode of dw3 is more difficult than dw5 hard mode ( lol ), the map' s soundtracks are incredibly good ( wu zhang playns ( shu ), he fei ( wei ) and chi bi both sides specially ). At last is a balance game and make you fun at any level. Dw5 is incredibly easy, the AI is horrible and maps re bad, with few exceptions. Soundtracks re the same in most of the maps. The only thing better than dw3 is the dialogues, but its makes the game more funny kek. Sry for my bad english 😛
