Zhang Liao is way exaggerated in the end clip. Guan Yu, a guy who could go toe to toe against Lu Bu, being unable to beat Zhang Liao even with Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun

@MakotoShigimata Guan Yu did beat Hua Xiong, Yan Liang and Wen Chou in duels though. He beat the best generals of Yuan Shao solo. So if Lu Bu and Guan Yu are equal in strength, they are both extremely skilled. Zhang Liao is top tier too, but Guan Yu is strong

@@anonfalco7880 No he didn’t, Hua Xiong was killed by Sun Jian, Lu Bu was bested by Sun Jian, Wen Chou was also killed by elite cavalries of Cao Cao. Guan Yu’s accomplishments were mostly fictional and overrated

@@lolcall5295 Zhao Yun drive Cao Cao force in Han Zhong. (Not sure if I spell it right.). And also a part of force that conquer Cheng Du for Liu Bei. Zhang Liao is overrated. His only accomplishment is defend Hefei. He didn' t help Cao Cao conquer any land. Basically He is the same as Cao Ren.

No he's not, you absolute moron. Zhang Liao was an absolute beast, what he did at Hefei alone is more impressive than anything Guan Yu ever did, not to mention Zhang Liao's many other accomplishments too.

@@matteoscotuzzi6627Ah yes, Hefei’s watchdog. No, Guan Yu was better still. Historically, the greatest feat of strength was by Guan Yu. For all the embellishments he gets in the novel, historically while serving Cao Cao he still rode off alone into Yuan Shao's army, reached the command tent and beheaded Yan Liang there, picked up his head, and rode back to deliver it to Cao Cao. An action like that, to wade alone into thousands of soldiers without fear, is the kind of thing you'd expect to find in the novel rather than historically. It's one of the reasons that the later embellishments took place and Guan Yu became the God of War.
