Liu Chan struggle itself and his decision is what Liu Bei initially wanted in the beginning, just because Zhuge Liang that he started to stray away from his goal and decided to sidelined himself so Shu might be better in the hands of his advisor Zhuge Liang.

My interpretation of this scene is that Liu Shan is a lazy butt and he always tries to skip his training because he is the afore-mentioned lazy butt. Which of course annoys Xingcai so she has to go and find him. However, of course, we find he is ACTUALLY training himself. In secret. And she doesn't call him out on it for whatever reason (I suspect she's going to make her training tougher after this since she now knows what he's capable of combat-wise). But there's a reason why this scene is titled 'Liu Shan's OTHER side'. Because he's not ACTUALLY a lazy, idiot butt. He's PRETENDING to be a lazy, idiot butt. If the others knew, they would probably mention "Oh he looks like he was training in the garden." But they didn't. Meaning they too did not know he trained in secret. I mean. HAVE YOU GUYS EVER SEEN THIS GUY GET ANGRY BEFORE THIS SCENE?! I know I haven't. Even in the gameplay the worst he gets is 'mildly pissed off'. But look at his facial expressions when he's training! He's properly serious! Unlike how he normally behaves. Hence why it is called 'Liu Shan's other side' and why this guy is sneaky as!

@RestofBraves she is fictional, she represents the second wife of Liu Shan, the first being her sister, but in game she is the only daughter, she represents both daughters of zhang Fei, look for info on the Koei wiki and the Empress Zhang entry on wikipedia.. unlike the ambiguity that surrounds Xing Cai's reactions for her father or Guan Ping, she openly expresses her fondness and respect for Liu Shan. She is also bashful when Jiang Wei mentions her actions in battle will please their ruler.

2) Same for Liu Shan. He stayed in the capital while Jiang Wei went out to try to fulfill Liu Bei's dream. Jiang Wei constantly asked for reinforcements and more resources, but...Liu Shan couldn't be bothered. He delegated all military, financial, and political responsibilities to his advisors who sucked up to him. Which is why, the moment his life was in danger....he surrendered the whole kingdom. In the book, Sima Zhao was DISGUSTED by him and mourned for the Shu officers that had to serve him

As much as I like the Koei wiki, they're pretty biased and left out a lot between Guan Ping and Xing Cai. She praises Guan Ping pretty often too, and they have plenty of moments. Funny how her wiki page got locked to prevent people from editing that in. Again, you didn't even play the game, did you?

Plenty of moments but a lot of interpretations of Xing Cai and Guan Ping's relationships were that of lovers.. When in fact they were actually not even close. Their relationship was stated to be more platonic and ambiguous. I do not know how its considered being "bias"? Arguably the game is based on The Three Kingdom's novel which was a fairytale version of the historical documents anyhow. Unfortunately a lot of the information was already considered bias. For example, much of "supposed" documents made by Zhuge Liang were maybe put as purposely smearing others. Like Pang Tong as supposedly being ugly because Zhuge Liang was envy of his abilities. Zhuge Liang was actually more of a diplomatic and politics leader. And things like Sima Yi was considered very fair leader but was considered a almost evil individual in the games (though I love his laugh in it). I mean I don't know if its really bias because they do not tout its directly from the Romance of the Three Kingdom's novelization. its just lightly influenced by it. Its like play CoD World at War where you played as the Russians fighting the Germans. Is it "bias"? Russians were just as bad as the Germans in those age. They treated the Jewish just as horrible as the Germans. Though I think DW9 did make it more accurate on what the novel foretold versus DW7. Though if it were not for the games I would not have been studying the history for years. Its all thanks I got to play Dynasty Warriors 2. Because we can read up about the true happenings. Though like I said, I think your going to find things wonky on either side games and novel and even history. Some things are left unanswered and some of the people credited as existing just......disappeared off the records with only mere speculations on what may have happened.

I mean arguably about Guan Ping himself..............information on him is very small. His birth is unknown but he died on January or February 220. Though the Romance of Three Kingdom novel states he was the adopted son of Guan Yu, it does not specifically state that in the historical documents. Only that he was the eldest son of Guan Yu and was captured along with him by Wu forces. Its pretty much just taking that information that was vague and putting in maybe answers or simply dramatizing it. So ideally your claim on "bias" is not really credible as the "bias" was based on a more "dramatized" historical-based book on something that may not even occurred. I still do not get where your getting the whole "bias" part from. Bias has to do with favoring one thing for another with the idea of being unfair about it. But is it necessarily unfair when the information of any of the characters have so many loopholes and questions in their own historical information. I mean that would mean China was even bias since they made the tv show of the novel which again apparently antagonized Cao Cao (which the games originally did and then gave him more of a sympathetic road) but in all arguments really ALL the leaders and officers were just as bad as Cao Cao. They all had points despite you would credit them now as ruthless and evil. Actions questionable. But take what I say with just my own opinion. I love reading history and such. And regardless if the game is not accurate (which was kind of expected since if this was on the actual context of the history it would be both really boring and kind of shorter) it made me want to read the novel which then I found out the novel that its also not really truthful.

Technically, that was everyone though. Even Liu Bei and Sun Quan. Think about it: What if Cao Cao had won at Chi Bi? No one in China wouldve had the military might to even come CLOSE to challenging him. War would've ended in probably just a couple years....but Liu Bei and Sun Quan's victory merely extended the inevitable by like 60-70 years of war.....The people suffered because of everyone involved, NOT just Jiang Wei. Everythin about Shu was fulfilling LIU BEI's dream, not the peoples'.

well the empire parts are the round based strategy versions of the dw games where u have to play in scenarios to unite china under ure banner a very funny in my opinion the extreme legend version is an upgrade to the regal dynasty warriors like: more game modes included, special playable characters and a bit more story in the musou modes ^^ like the XL4,5 and 6 games ^^

yeah only in game. I like his philosophical intelligence portrayed in DW's stories but it isn't what he was like at all in reality. In fact I don't thk he has the brain to make such wise choice when Deng Ai knocked on his front door----only got it by luck.
