Im a long time player since DW2 and this is a very new system that I cant wait to learn and to use those troop tactics. I really like how you actually have to fight through the armies now and that the soldiers hold tactical formations. The minimap looks very clear and easy to read. Its slightly seems like KUF(Kingdom Under Fire Xbox) which is great as I am a fan. Very beautiful and cant wait to play!

While it's a departure to what we know, what they're cooking up redefines what it means to be an active participant in a major war. You're not the one man army anymore. You care for your companions, your squadron, deploying on-the-fly tactics to press the advantage. This is the best action depiction of ROTK, and the most ambitious DW game I've ever seen. So this game must succeed. :)

@@RR-ze1km not really, in PS2 games, especially before getting higher stats and weapons, just rushing forward alone could get you in trouble - ofc, this depens on specifics, and, in general, the difficulty of doing so changed. It was the hardest - to the point of being unfair and annoying - in DW2, a bit easier in DW3, around the same if a bit harder in DW4 - but power levels of enemies were more balanced - and easiest in DW5, as enemies were more numerous, but less aggressive, letting you charge up your Musou easily.

@@adzi6164 I played those games when i was in elementary school and I remembered that I always finished it by rushing the main camp. The key was to just volley the heroes and make sure they are always sticking together. They just had so much health but it didnt matter when they arent able to stand up and it didnt help that normal soldiers were just there standing and attack a few at a time but the duels were fun though

@@SorenKazeuindo Yup, you can only play as the Companion for a certain duration before their Musou Rage* automatically activates (normally this requires a full Musou Gauge), and when the Musou Gauge is depleted a True Musou Attack (formerly Rage Musou Attack or Musou Frenzy Attack) occurs, after which you're swapped back to the nameless MC. * In Japanese the nameless MC's version is called Martial God Rage, however in the English localization both of them are translated as War God Rage.

DUDE ITS EVERYTHING. The tactical decisions to make, the combat that looks so much better than the entire "oh lets kill 500 guys with 2 buttons" crap from dw9, the 1v1 combat looking like its actually something to be mindful of. Achieving 1000kills could be something thats an actual achievement again...boy im ready! Just dont make everything being unlocked after 5h of playtime and im the happiest dude in the world! Edit: Not to mention the insane graphics and how the battlefield looks like an actual battlefield! Not the biggest fan of random weapon swapping while on the battlefield tho.

This video doesn't show that we can't, but rather highlights examples of how to get help doing it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still possible, but the extra variety and options in combat are really nice to see.

@@RR-ze1km They've shown what they want to show. I'd like it to be more different, but there's still a lot we don't know (as far as I'm aware of). How the weapons are going to work, and what kinds of bonuses we can get on them. How we go about upgrading them. Any other methods of character progression or options that can lead to various random things that just let you auto-kill entire maps like in older games on Ultimate difficulty. Of course they're advertising the cool new things you can do, and that are present in the game. That doesn't mean that other things aren't also in the game when we get our hands on it. They very well may not be, but I'm not going to rule any of that out until I get to play it.

Nope, this one's a single-player tactical ARPG -- however, if you select a Companion and get close enough to them while their Change Character gauge is half-full you'll get to activate an Extreme Musou Attack (formerly the Double Musou Attack).

yes. As a previous preview stream shown, depending who you partner up with in a battle will determine your starting point. This will have advantages and disadvantages since each starting point gives you easier and harder access to certain locations.

Yes, however unlike most of the games wherein it's the animations/hitboxes that differ between characters (e.g. "everyone's Square->Triangle is a launcher") this one has different inputs between weapons. For example, the basic straight Sword inputs are mostly like said past games... while the Scimitar instead has a three-hit strong attack chain (Triangle) wherein any of them can be held down ('charged') for extra effect or to outright change the attack (e.g. press Triangle, then hold Triangle); this also works for strong attacking from guard, out of a dodge/evade, and from a normal-to-strong attack. Conversely, the Crescent Blade's basic attacks are more DW6 style (you can chain from a three-hit normal attack chain to a four-hit strong attack chain and vice versa), however you can hold Triangle to charge the first strong attack, the guarding strong attack, and the evading strong attack, which can be done for longer than the Scimitar's strong attacks. For example, holding Triangle for the evading strong attack will result in two, three, or five consecutive attacks depending on duration. Finally, while the infamous Renbu mechanic from DW6 is gone, apparently consecutive attacks will nevertheless enhance the power and range of said charged strong attacks.

I wonder if there will be hypotheticals, given that the unknown hero is fictional (i know there are characters that are fictional like Guan Yu's Sons but they are writing to be cannon within the Dynasty Warriors). DW8 had the advantage that everyone still had a standardized set of inputs other than where the EX attack occurred in the charge/strong attack chain. In contrast, Tokyo Game Show footage/screencaps of this game's Sword, Guandao (Crescent Moon Blade), and Scimitar movesets revealed that their attack chains will all differ.

Yall should add more intricate things to the game I feel like the graphics need a better setting or camera needs to look a bit better. The player needs to be faster maybe as well and we need different settings of gameplay moves they should allow us to have different type of strikes and use em in a setting gameplay just to see if we like it or not. Who thinks the troops need more care? I think it’ll make the game much more artful. Demo makes it very dark, not colorful,, reminds me of the movie 300. What happened to the elemental stuff? I’m kinda worried of getting the game cuz the fighting seems too limited (there’s nothing new or added like unlocking new fighting techniques for the chosen weapons). Secondly they should make the sieges more difficult such as getting on top of the wall, breaking the gates. They should make it more competitive and not bland. The map seems great, the characters look great, dialogue looks great. Maybe the story would add more motion and make it feel like we are seeing history. ((((nonetheless just my opinion))))
