Thought I'd comment for some context once I saw the 1.02 for 1.08/1.10 scenario at the 3:40 mark. I've got the 1.04, if Gibbs is sitting there, I have a deal with the owner of the 1.08/1.10 to trade picks. We're still 5-6 months from the rookie draft so a lot can change but I'll be thrilled if it works out like that.

I feel like these young QBs could be like the 24 1sts but twice as valuable. By mid season we still might not have an idea about what there future looks like, they could be sitting behind a vet or just having the normal rookie growing pains. So even if they aren’t putting up points I might still be able to move them for a premium asset and help my team compete. Only my 2nd year of dynasty so lmk if I’m off base.

I have the 1.02. 10T SF start 9. Burrow, TLaw, and Jordan love are my qbs. Chase, Jameson, burks, mclaurin at WR. Etienne, RS, Dobbins rb’s. Don’t want to trade down past the 1.04 so I feel pressed to pick at 1.02. Feeling JSN or Gibbs depending on landing spots.

A league mate of mine accidentally traded me the 1.02 for Trey Lance and a 2024 3rd. I accepted right away but then he told me it was an accident so I told him he could resend the deal and we’d pretend it never happened because it was a fat finger deal on his side. Last year everyone said the draft was weak. I got the no 16 pick in the real draft at pick 11 in the rookie draft. This year, none of the wrs will be picked before pick 20, but both rbs are expected to go higher than the rbs who went 1-2 last year. That makes me think RB is the better value at the top of the draft Bc you have 2 premier rbs and some late first round draft capital wrs.

Breece, but you do have some question marks on how good he will be coming off the injury. I personally view Gibbs as being way closer to Bijan than he is to any other RB in the class so I do think there is an argument to be made but I will take the more proven asset over Gibbs as of now.

Not sure if anyone will bite but if someone is high enough on pacheco and wants to get involved in the draft they may bite. Keep in mind Pacheco is almost 24 but sleeper has him listed as 22 so you may be able to get extra value out of people thinking he is younger than he is

Buying Breece with the 1.02 now isn’t levering the value of the 1.02 enough. And In a Superflex even though you have TLaw Fields and Russ we’d still take a QB at 1.02 or trade back a spot or 2 and take Gibbs. Orrr trade back and buy a vet, yada yada. The point is you have a really good problem of having a strong team and a lot of options in the draft 💪

Yeah. If you have 2nds take a bunch of shots on the RB depth in this draft, at least that’s what we’re looking to do. That’s always what we do in the 2nd is just hammer RBs. So if you can trade any depth WRs for early 2nds maybe that’s an option

Glad you found the show! Put him on the block, and let your leaguemates make offers. Let your league market economy tell you if two 1sts is too much of an ask. But in a vacuum 2 firsts is reasonable. WR wise, it's unlikely that you'd be able to get a Waddle/Wilson/Olave/Tee/etc WR plus a late 23 1st. Start high though 👍

I wouldn't rush to make that trade... wait and see what Gibbs draft capital and landing spot are. You may just end up wanting to stay put at 1.02, take Gibbs. And then try to move up from 1.10, or trade it for a 24 1st.

We’re definitely not actively buying him, or any RB for that matter in January. He’s a tough one, because history doesn’t favor RBs coming back with that injury. It’s not a winning bet. If we could get him for a 2nd then maybe, but we’re not giving a 1st or multiple 2nds. In a 1QB if you want to gamble with an early/mid 2nd that’s not too expensive of a risk

Im curious what you think of the trade i just completed… 1QB, 3RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2 Flex 1/2 ppr… i have hurts, ETN, Walker, 1.01 (Bijan), Jeudy, Pittman, WR3/4s, Andrews. .. i traded up to the 1.03 for the 1.06, montgomery, and Mooney. Good deal or no to get a rb stack with gibbs or Wr JSN/Addison for the WR room?

At this point in his career, what is a realistic trade package for Dalvin Cook? I am smashing any 1st I can get for Dalvin Cook whether I'm contending or not. His production and dynasty value is already rapidly declining and is going to be 28 before the season starts and already isn't worth any 2023 1st. If I can get any random 24 1st (with maybe a 2nd/3rd or a useable body at RB back) for him I'm taking it now. As soon as this year's rookie drafts are finished those 2024 1sts are now the next new hotness people will want that will only go up in value as the year goes on and you'll be lucky to get any 2024 1st for him then. Take the fungible asset now and you can always address the RB position before the season starts if that's a need

Stay flexible. It might be a good Gibbs team. Try to move that 1.11 for a 24 1st. And obviously keep in mind you can buy vets. Even though you’re a B+ or better at WR, maybe you’ll love JSN’s landing spot and want to package 1.06 and 1.11 for 1.03. The point is you’ve got options and time! But try to move that 1.11 for a 24 now

I’ve got the 1.02 and 1.03 in a SF. QBs are Mahomes/Lawrence/Fields. Should I be looking to trade down and get a WR or RB or should I take them at 1.02/1.03?

Hey man, I also have the 1.02-1.03 but QBs aren’t of your caliber. I’d recommend waiting till your on the clock or at least let the picks continue to gain value. Once close to draft I’d talk to QB needing teams and yeah try n either move back orrrr even get some players that you like. I wouldn’t just pick RB/WR at 1.02-1.03 unless you’re in love with em.

Yeah size is definitely part of it, but I'll ask them what data has them picking Stroud over Young, at least as of Jan 27th. But if one gets a preferable landing spot over the other than that would flip it. There's close enough to where that's going to be the kicker.

@@DynastyTradesIn5 I agree, if I had to take one now it would be Stroud because he should succeed in more landing spot situations than young will. Young has the higher upside but I feel stroud can be plopped into the Texans, Colts, Seahawks, Lions, Raiders, Falcons or Panthers lineups and fair pretty well, but I feel there is a struggle that may happen if young goes to a team like the colts where their oline is 6’6”, 6’5”, 6’4”, 6’6”, 6’6” and he can’t consistently see over them

It’s Superflex, so it’s those receivers versus the QB1 of the class. But more than that it’s that in late January at recording we like the flexibility of the 1.02. Trade up, back, buy a QB, etc etc. So it’s all about the time of the year and the flexibility of the pick.
