1) Outliers (Brady, Romo, & Purdy) are going to happen from time to time, but it's bad process to have high expectations on late Day 3 or UDFA players in the NFL Draft. 2) You should have an ideal roster configuration that you are managing towards. You create what that looks like by combining the maximum roster size, the number of teams in the league, and your starting lineup requirements. 3) Know your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to player evaluations. Discover outside resources that you trust to supplement your own research. 4) Managing your roster is a balancing act between trusting your player evaluations and knowing when to push your ego aside and admit that you were wrong. You aren't always going to get that right. Always be evaluating your roster, the other league rosters, and free agents. 5) Staying aware of players' contract situations is like having a crystal ball that sees the future.

I got my first expert star on FFPC this year, and i always take advantage of getting old players for cheap in both start ups and trades. Especially RBs, won a $250 leauge with D.Henry, Mostart, and Conner bought alot of M.Evans for the low. I dont agree with #5 if your trying to win those picks arent helping you. Sold my 1st (now the 1.12) and 2nd for Jordan Love in week 5 and hope to do something simular next year.

The point of acquiring more future draft picks is to be able to do stuff like you did with buying Love. I didn’t say to just acquire future picks and never build a winning roster by always looking at the future, I said acquire future picks to have a constant revenue stream essentially of either youth from the rookies you draft or productive veterans by trading those picks.
