Dynazty really feels like an unpacked Seventh Wonder, they have all the same fantastic melodies and harmonies but it's all condensed into shorter songs. It's almost criminal how much feeling they cram into such a short and succinct chorus.

It's about predestination, about everything we have done being predestined since our birth. We are born on this Earth as part of a "predestined expansion" and our life is like "a course set in stone". The idea of free will is questioned in the second verse "How do we view the illusion of choice / Can we accept, can we ever rejoice / Are we fit to decide / The course of our ride". If everything is already predestined to happen to us, are our choices really ours? And the more we think about this idea, the more we try to decipher the mystery of life ("The perfect enigma that we try to break"), the more questions appear ("The ever-expanding horizon / Leads to more questions we can't leave to rest"). All the while, death follows us at every step ("Eternity haunts us with each step we take"). However, the important thing is what we leave behind, even if our lives might not matter in the grand scheme of things - "Our journey was never of a greater cause / What matters is choosing what should be passed on / Then even after we're gone / We will live on" The chorus is about how we are nothing more than an enigma, a mystery, "A riddle in the dark / An ever shooting star" because there are still questions we don't have answers to. In the end, "We're a brief shining light in the dark " because our existence is nothing more than a mere second in the immensity of time and space. And we must make the most of our time here on Earth by making friends, connecting with others, as "our roads intersect / In Paradise of the architect" It's a very, very intelligently written song, as are all the rest from this superb album.
