I skipped all the bolt on modes with my 21 convertible, went straight for the supercharger. It makes 648 at the wheels with 547 torque. Car ran a 10.69 in the quarter mile @ 128mph that's a fun convertible

Hp and WHP are two completely different things. Similar but very different in terms of actual power. Stock 2018 comes 460 hp but that’s only 415 whp. So 477 might just be 17 hp gain but that could be bigger numbers with WHP

Unless you are on the same dyno, numbers are almost meaningless. The differences between dynos alone can easily be +/-10%. Than tuner shop can use different conversion standards to fatten up the results as well.

Dynos are made to give a good estimate on what your car is putting down and tune it to run it’s best safely by messing with timing, boost psi, fueling etc.

Most shops don't fatten the numbers. Because they didn't build it no reason to fatten the numbers. But I have seen builders do it. Always dyno somewhere that has nothing invested in your build to get true numbers.

Sick car man I just bought a 2020 gt my first toy. How many miles did you put on the car before tuning? I know tuning voids warranty. Also did you let the car run out of gas then switch to e85 or have you run through a few tanks of e85 before hitting the dyno?

Hey bro, I see this post is 8 months old, but figured I’d respond since no one else did. So I went with a 91/FlexFuel/E85 tune from Lund. I let the pump 91 gas run down to about 20 miles before empty, loaded the FlexFuel tune and filled it up with E85. Ran that tank down to almost empty, loaded the straight E85 tune while parked at the pump and filled her up with E85 again. I’d test the E85 in your area to make sure it’s at least 80% ethanol before running the straight E85 tune otherwise you risk damaging the motor. You can a tester for cheap on Amazon. As far as how many miles before you tune it, that’s really up to you and what you’re comfortable with. Mines not a daily as I have a take home work car, so I only have 15,000 on my 2018 GT. I tuned it in 2019 with probably 8-9k miles on it. Hope this helps and have fun with your 2020!

Very true. Peak power also doesn't paint the full picture...not even close. You have to consider the full power band. Coming from the BMW N54 world it's not uncommon to see those cars running very close races against cars with 50-100whp advantages. The N54, especially with upgraded twin turbos, has an incredible power band and it's a huge advantage to the N54 when both cars start in the mid-range RPMs. Also, in the real world you're rarely racing only in 1:1 gears so gearing plays a role. Traction, weight, aerodynamics, etc. Plus dynos read different. Point is, power is only one of many variables. At the end of the day it's fun to have your car dyno'd and its good for baseline numbers and seeing what gains you get from certain mods, tuning adjustments, etc. However, it's all meaningless at the end of the day. Line em up and see who wins.

Before I boost mines I was getting 17 in town 24 on highway on 91-93. If I blended the E85 with the 91-93 I would see around 15 in town 21 on the highway. All E85 and it was 12 in town and around 19, maybe 20 max on highway. I would average on the highway with 91-93 between 360-400 miles on a full tank if I'm wasn't gunning it hard. In town I averaged around 240-280 miles on a full tank. With the E85 Blend with 91-93 I seen and average between 320-350 miles on the highway full tank and in town between 200-220 miles. Finally all E85 on the highway I average between 175-200 miles maximum and in town around 140-160 miles full tank depending on how hard I stomped her. Now I'm on boost 91-93 only. I'm getting a McLeod clutch installed today because my last on was slipping badly but with 30K miles it's was time and also my gas mileage was suffering big time. After I break in the clutch I'm anxious to see how my MPGs in the city and highway stack up. Hopefully this helps you boss.

Dyno Jet dynod aren’t the most accurate. And that’s 485 at the wheels- so about 550bhp at the crank. 4th gear pulls aren’t as strong as your 3rd gear pulls either. Not an accurate dyno run that mate- she’s making more than that

4th gear is 1 to 1 on the dyno for mustang pulls (2018 and newer 6 speed)
