Hey 6speed I was wrong on my calculation that’s what I was told how to determine crank hp I did some research and you take wheel hp X 1.1765 and that gives you 529 hp at the crank I was close but not correct my car is a 2019 shadow black with the performance pack 1 my only mod is a Steeda catback exhaust it’s loud I will be getting a Roush stage 2 supercharger soon keep those videos coming they are really good.

5th gear is 1:1 on a dyno jet your car would make any where from 440-460hp to the wheel depending on e85 percentage weather etc. Always go by wheel horsepower numbers crank horsepower doesn’t matter

I have a 16’ GT premium and looking to start throwing some mods in the motor, all I have done currently is an H-pipe and flow master cat back . Wanting to do 1 7/8 long tube headers 2018 Intake , JLT cold air and a Lund tuner . Is there anything else you would suggest? My goal is to get 500hp at the wheels . Thanks again ! If your a 6 speed Manual i wouldn't use more then 12% drivetrain loss. Looks like he was using 20% and thats fairly high for a manual. If you were a auto about 15% is more realistic. Really matters what it does at the track. It sounds amazing and those are really good numbers. Plus you did nice tasteful mods to the exterior.

5th is 1:1 on a 15-17 GT, so that's the gear you need for accurate numbers. Good power. Coyotes are amazing motors

@@Madmaxxxx1984 flex fuel tune, a ported 2018 manifold/cold air intake, 47 lb injectors, 3 inch exhaust/headers you’ll have an 11 second car so it will be faster than a 10r80 5.0 as long as you can shift it. There are other mods I would suggest doing along with that to make it consistent but engine wise that’s all you would need. Probably even less tbh but I mean you know the little extra wouldn’t hurt right.

What bolt ons do you have? Everyone has their own fbo list. I’m thinkin.. Longtube headers, cat back exhaust, cold air intake, intake manifold, throttle body, fuel injectors/fuel pump for e85 and tune.

Congratulations on your 450rwhp number. For comparisons sake, when I did all of the BPU (basic performance upgrades) mods on my ‘98 MKIV Supra in 2001, it made 450rwhp, but on 93 octane, there was no E-85 back then. But I’d love to know how much difference E-85 would have made on my car back then? Anyhow, those Coyote 5.0’s are bad to the bone, much respect. My first car back in HS was a ‘88 Mustang GT. I loved that car! I did the shorty headers, Flowmaster mufflers, under pulleys, K&N air filter with the under the front bumper snorkel cold air intake system on it. The timing was also tweaked a few degrees. This was before Dynojets were invented, but the butt dyno thinks I probably made 225-250rwhp back in the day? I wish I would have had that Coyote 5.0 under my hood back then instead. Could have put some of those bully Buick Grand Nationals back in their place back then, LMFAO. 🤣

@@Nater36 450whp in the 90s when corvettes were lucky to make 300whp and Mustang GTs had 225 CRANK hp .....Supra woffle stomped them with 450whp Supra would easily pickup 50 to 80whp on e85 from the 450whp

Hi 6speed love your content I thought something happened to you living in Chicago I have been checking for more videos you do a great job but as far as I know 1 to 1 ratio is 4th gear and you made 450 to the wheel and I have seen many dyno videos and you take 15% of the 450 and add that amount to the 450 which is roughly 68hp add those 2 together and that is crank hp that comes to 518hp at the crank which is what you thought it made keep up the great content.

The numbers to the wheel are what matters. I'm an Gen2 aswell, unfortunately we not hitting 500 to the wheels but the Gen3's can. Cars sick though!

I'm not sure where the 'to the crank' numbers are coming from, just take your dyno number x 1.15 and that is the estimated crank HP assuming a 15% driveline loss.

nice healthy power, looks like your tuner was using a 25 percent loss calculation. most modern cars don't lose more than 18-20 percent for an automatic, and 15 percent for a manual transmission. so 460 rwhp is around 530 at the crank for a manual. Also, 4th gear is used as the 1:1 ratio in the mustang gt.

I have a Gen2 manual FBO E85 (JLT, 87mm Tb, 18 intake, 47 lb injectors, catless long tubes and exhaust, Ortiz tune). SAE: 439 RWHP @6725 rpm, 407 lb-ft (at the tire). STD was 455 RWHP that day. He took it to 7300 rpm.

Also the equation he was using for crank hp was accounting for 20% drive train loss. But manual transmissions don't lose that much so usually you'd do 15% which would make your crank hp 575

Because he is reading off the crank vs you probably reading off rear wheel. Rear wheel is true numbers .

He didn’t rev it all the way with ur new 2018 manifold he went to what looked like the stock redline on the gauge. You definitely make more power than that up top. It said 6.75 rpm on the top right of the graph u could hit 7.5😂

@@turbone54 no, I am not wrong. If you have 100 crank hp and you lose 15% that gives you 85. If you multiply 85x1.15= 97.75 (you obviously don’t come back to the original number) If you do 8500/85=100

444whp aint 560 crank lol. its about 490-500 crank. manuals lose about 13-15% power from crank to wheels auto is about 20-25% depending on 8spd or 10spd. good numbers nonetheless tho. put a gt350 intake mani and you should gain another 10

Oh man that’s on standard not sae. Also looks to be a dyno jet instead of a mustang. General difference between std and sae is 8% on average. Realistically making 414 roughly. Std is used by people that inflate numbers for the most part. Either way bad ass car dude!

Full bolt on on e85 is 500 maybe 505 rwhp with full bolt ons. Havent watched the entire thing yet but ik that gen 3s stock came out with anywhere from 400rwhp-420rwhp so 500 rwhp should happen easily

I bought my 17 GT about 3 months ago and the first things I bought were catless headers, JLT intake and Lund nguage with tune. Definitely puts some extra power in the mustang. If you are not down for headers I would say get an intake and tune and maybe after that some headers or after market intake manifold with some injectors and an e85 tune from Lund.
