@@cita5998 They change it because they fear it exploding, not because everybody know it is. Gearboxes are made with insanely high security factors. The 500Nm ZF from the M140i is driving around with almost 800Nm and does not get crushed..

If what you see on the road is different than what you see on the dyno you may want to look into the TCU. AMG guys are running into the same thing and it’s because the TCU will flip out when too much torque is applied and you will lose power.

It was due to IATs on the dyno, not a gearbox issue like AMGs.

my m5 f90 2018 stage 2 stock engine and turbo the power on the dyno 800hp and tq 1256 ( fuel 109 ) in fuel 95 octane 720hp and you Built Engine for Stage 3 !!!! 900hp in race fuel i think you have get around in this Built Engine 1300hp maximum

These cars have electronically actuated wastegates not a spring. As you can see by the final graph that was smoothed out. Unsure on that as we didn’t operate it.

Imran - this thing is mental and I love the subtle look you've gone for with the mods. Am I right in thinking yours in a non-OPF car with it being one of the first F90's? Does the OPF pose challenges for the later cars - or does it just get deleted?!

Yes early Non-OPF car. On later cars you would need to remove it to get to Stage 2 anyway just like cats.

Both have their advantages. We do both. Dyno is more controlled but road is real world.
