Your warranty is only affected if the tuner caused the problem. The warranty is only there to cover “manufacturer defects” so if the tuner caused the problem, then that’s not going to be covered under warranty. Now if your tuner did damage the engine and you attempted to have that damage covered by a warranty by hiding your tampering, then that is considered fraud anyway. But say your water pump went out or a wheel bearing out or a driveline malfunction a tuner wouldn’t cause damage to that system so coverage would not be in question. *If a service advisor ever tells you that your “warranty is void” if you install a tuner or aftermarket accessories, they are wrong. There are several pages of “fine print” in regards to this matter. Ask for a consultation with the Service Manager or General Manager and if they are still denying warranty coverage, then I would open a case with the manufacturer. These steps should bring resolution to any service matter in question. 🎉

Dynojet tests everything on 91 octane. As long as there is no lock present, power levels on 91 vs. 87 would be the same. To tap into the WHP gains from the Power Vision 3 on your Sportsman though, we strongly recommend going with the manufacturer guidelines and running 91 octane.

But once no longer under warranty I wouldn't hesitate. A tuner alone can really improve many things on a stock machine. If you dream of more power from various modifications like exhaust and whatever your going to need a tuner to change the fuel air mixture for those modifications. The only consideration I have when choosing a tuner is what the tuner is capable of doing. Some tuners are only going to help with minor bolt on modifications. On my harley davidson I have done huge modifications and I went with a complete ECM replacement that gave me complete control of my electronics. So choosing what you want is going to need consideration as to how much your going to do to your machine.

Yes, the Power Vision reflash device updates the tables directly within the ECU to optimize the air/fuel ratio. You can switch between multiple maps in the device. Therefore, if you wanted to return back to stock you would just reflash it with the stock file.

I'm interested in improving fuel to air mixture at the lower rev range of my 2018 Yamaha MT09 (with stock exhaust and filter), since it comes very lean from the factory to pass Euro4 emissions. I've noticed that my bike pics up power after 3k revs and seen some tune maps from dynos that managed to start power a lot sooner which makes for an improved throttle pic up especially in tight hard corners and in low speed traffic. I took a look at your maps but there are so many of them to choose from that it got me a bit confused. Is it a guessing game on which map to choose from? I'm not looking to improve power, there's enough of that for me on this bike, I just want a sweeter, more gradual throttle from the get go. Can you help?

Walter, if you just want to AutoTune your bike, we recommend a Power Commander V with the additional AutoTune module. If you want to access more stock-improved tunes and have more control over performance, we recommend the Power Vision 3. The only software you need (for either the Power Vision 3 or Power Commander V) is our Power Core Software, which is free to download to any Windows computer. Unless you're planning to tune multiple vehicles with the Power Vision 3, you do not need to purchase a tune license.

Is it true that Dynojet restricts customers from using it on mutiple vehicles, forcing one to buy multiple products for their other vehicles?

The Power Vision 3 can be used across multiple platforms with the correct firmware and diagnostic cable. The Power Vision 3 does marry to the ECU, so it will only tune 1 ECU at a time, unless you purchase a license file for the other ECU. So technically you can use 1 Power Vision 3 to tune a Can-Am, Yamaha, Honda etc. with the correct tools.

This video is misleading. The tune files for my 2020 Road Glide are locked. I can’t change a thing about them. I can’t even view them! The best I can do is download one of the three tunes available, stage one, stage two, or stage three, then auto tune the crap out of my bike. I’m a bit disappointed with this tuner. To add insult to injury my bike is now throwing a code for the RDRS and no one from tech support will respond to my emails.

I actually just sent an email to the guys in Uk where I am with this question and if there is any future plans for the flush device. Much appreciate it, keep an eye out for this model please and create some maps, the 2020+ models has a quick shifter now and almost everyone on groups are planning a dyno session this summer. It depends on your configuration. If we have a tune already developed for your configuration, it can be as simple as plug - flash - play. If there is not a tune developed you can visit a local dyno tuning center to have your vehicle dialed in correctly.
