Would you say you no longer suffer from dyslexia? And, do you feel like you could not of achieved what you have done as a dyslexic person?

Very inspiring & beautifully said. I've struggled not with Dyslexia all my life , but the hatred & ignorance of others & for the 1st time in my life, I see it as the gift it's always been. I'm proud to be dyslexic. I AM capable, I'm MORE THAN capable. I EXCEED. 💡

Fantastic talk. I am actually teaching an Entrepreneur class to dyslexic students for the second year in 2022 thanks to Noticeability's help. It focusses on the Dyslexic advantage MIND strengths. I also teach them how to use the Microsoft Learning tools in class to help when they struggle. It's early days but it's fantastic to have the opportunity to help change the tide of opinion and create a positive ripple effect for their future (And hopefully future generational change in thinking)

Wow! What amazing courage and progress! Congrats! A friend of mine is 73 and just received his Ph. D. he's not dyslexic, yet it has taken him a while to obtain the degree. There are so many free or inexpensive learning tools available, keep working towards you goal. Have you thought about a brain researcher? Using 3-D imaging? Dyslexics are often gifted at seeing what others miss. Maybe you could discover something about our brains. Thank you for your kind words. Stay strong.

Love your children relentlessly. I am a 32 year old dyslexic that is only coming to understand themselves because school and parents suppressed the truth of my dyslexia.

Whot I can do as a severe dyslexic a lot. but I can see physics all around me. How I did it is as I see all in picture I just learnt it from movement in people and then inputted that information in to physics information then translated to seeing it. This is so cool.

If teachers would focus us more on what we are good at and less on reading and spelling we would be better off! I’m not saying that reading and spelling isn’t important but it will come if you relate it more to us!

My daughter is brilliant. I highly suspect she is dylsexic and she struggles greatly with spelling. We homeschool and I am researching all kinds different methods to help her. My question is HOW CAN I encourage this "pivot" I her, this "finding solutions" mindset? She is extremely creative and innovative but I'd like to make sure there's an atmosphere that encourages her strengths if that makes sense. ? Thanks for your encouragement!

I miss spelled the word every time I type it. I wrote a book Dyslexia's Competitive Edge, and miss spelled it every time while writing the book. It seems my brain refuses to remember the word.

excellent and inspiring talk! there is still a lot of stigma attached to the word "dyslexic". when i found out that i am dyslexic, i was informed about Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci etc were dyslexic too and then i was told, BUT not everybody can be! more than "can do" or "can't do" its also the issue of letting them dream without restriction. and as a community support the community
@TiffanySunday9 жыл бұрын
Aarushi Gupta Thanks for the feedback! I love your comment "letting them dream without restriction." This is the real goal to encourage dyslexics to dream and then have a supportive community to help realize their dreams.

Always focus on your strengths, when needed use technology to outsource the dyslexia challenges. I use Google Chrome, Grammarly, Siri all the time for spelling. For developing your ideas find a way to capture either in a journal (mind map or on your computer or mobile) join entrepreneurial creative groups, meetups etc. Take one step at a time and keep moving forward.

Dear madam Sunday, What you are referring to is called a Auditory processing and Phonological disorder. I do not like your views generalisation on Dyslexia, I find it insulting and very upsetting. Not all dyslexics are the same, there are minor to extremely severe dyslexics. The levels that you have achieved. In your education “degrees MBA” 🤨 You would have to be only minor dyslexic, with a photographic memory !.. So please stop running around saying you’re happy to be dyslexic !.. It’s truly insulting. I would do or give anything not to be dyslexic. And if anybody is wondering on how I wrote this message I used my Apple iPhone with Siri. Regards Jemma Renèe Brownless

You are correct, sometimes our talents and strengths are buried within dyslexia itself. I am a writer and write every day at work. Without Grammarly or Word Read Out Loud it would not be possible. Go for it!! Dyslexia does not define us!

Your numbers and math are flawed, if 1 out of 5 people have a reading disorder then 34 % of entrepreneurship. Stopping selling the cape and gift for reading disorders, why don't you pitch that interventions can be achieved if you actually look at it.

I too am Dyslexic, but have been able to overcome some of the issues, Yes, there are different degrees of Dyslexia. I was/am on the milder side, but have other issues such as ADD or ADHD. My physical differences may be unusual, I am left handed/footed or not. Not that I can throw & catch with both hands, but I do left handed for one thing & right handed for other things. I could play both sides of a soccer field (left footed or right footed. I can type this message and not make too many errors (thank goodness for spell check). I was the only boy in typing class & did just ok, but when computers came to be I was in demand. It is true the many Dyslexics are ADD or ADHD, possibly with other issues as well. I am just happy that I have made it to 81 and am functioning very well. Blessing to all the folks that have unusual characteristics.
