I also took it all apart and even washed the insides with water, cleaner and a brush then I blew it out using air compressor and let it air dry for another day put it all together and my dyson is working like brand new

Actually that space surrounding the central intake is the cyclone discharge chamber. That’s where the dust gets ejected from all the miniature cyclones. It’s a shame that Dyson makes the area behind the shroud so difficult to access since that is where a lot of dust can linger.
@filiplaskovski99937 ай бұрын
Best thing for it is to get some compressed air and blow out the cyclone chamber when deep cleaning machine

The only thing about this Dyson that’s better than a Henry, is its cordless design and the fact that it takes up very little space. Other than that, Henry wins all day. Simple and really efficient. I’ll definitely be reverting back at some point in time.

In have a v11. Yes I agree, a lot of fine dust gets trapped inside. I noticed the clogged bit in the middle would remain unclogged if I followed 3 steps: 1. Open the canister the normal way by pulling the red lever. 2. Completely remove the clear outer covering by pressing the small red button. 3. Vigorously tap the bottom end of the machine in all directions to shake out all the dust. Hope this helps.
@anneann9127 Жыл бұрын
I've been doing this a lot and I'm always shocked at how much dust comes out. We also use an air compressor to clean it. I still find after shaking it and knocking it against something that there is a lot of dust still trapped inside. I'm going to do what this video shows and take it apart. The dust inside also smells horrible.

Hey I am having this same issue on my V10 and have to keep shaking the dust out of those little channels. I reckon it might be easiest to use a second vacuum cleaner and make a custom nozzle funnel to make an airtight seal around it and just vacuum it all out.
@blakaeg10 ай бұрын
It’s designed that way so the user upgrades to their next latest and greatest! Not a very good design for anyone who wants a quality product that will last years and years of course Dyson is not designed to. It’s good for Dysons profits.

Ive had a few dyson cordless hoovers over the years and the amount of dust that gets stuck in places where you cant get to is ridiculous. So i opted for the Henry Quick and have to say it’s way better and no problems like what you’re showing in your video. Every pod thats ejected is quick and easy no messing with dust everywhere.

Shame with these cordless vacuums when it’s on low speed the cyclone generated isn’t enough to keep dust away from the filter like the corded bagless Dyson’s are!! Only when running the cordless Dyson on high settings is the cyclone generated actually effective at trapping fine dust in the bin!!
@mrspiffy198119 күн бұрын
Dysons don’t like fine dust. Basically anything that will fit through the holes in the grate will eventually clog it up. Particularly if you live in a home where there’s a lot of building work going on, stick to a good old Henry with a bag.

Best way to clean a Dyson is using an air compressor machine. Air will clear in minutes. Do it outside. The one in video is still filthy.

Thank you! That is amazing! Do you do a lot of overhead cleanup or something that might explain this? I just got my first stick vacuum (the V11 also) and I did notice that screen getting plastered with dust when overhead cleaning!
@Animal_lives_matter3 ай бұрын
Yep, same issue on my V10. These Dyson stick vacs cannot be used pointing upwards otherwise dust backflows into the filter , caking it instantly in a thick layer of dust. When cleaning overhead I use the bendy tube to angle the hose and rigid tube upwards so the filter stays level.

@jacobbillups4715 Жыл бұрын
I know this is over a half year late just putting in case someone down the line has the same issue. Like the above guy mentioned the full name of the bit is a torx bit (looks like a 6 point star) and they come in different sizes mostly in intervals of 5 (some exceptions). So if you see T15, T20, etc that’s how to work it out. There are a bunch of places to get one, personally I have an impact driver bit set for bigger jobs and a $10 electronics repair set from Walmart that includes all the real small ones (plus every other bit under the sun no lie lmao)
@cal872497 ай бұрын

Didn't work in this instance because there are filters covering where the clog is, and similarly it was so heavily clogged, I end up doing full submersed washes now after electronics removed
