What a life saver you are! No telling how much money you saved me by this video. I have a Dyson V15 Detect that isn't that old (just days out of warranty ha-ha), and the gaskets just fell into the trash when I was emptying the bin. Since I have 5 dogs and 1 cat, I use the vacuum at least once every day (most days 2 or 3 times). By watching and listening to you video 3 times, I think I can now fix the vacuum without having to call Dyson and buy new parts. I'm a 72 year old widow who does what she has to do to keep things up and running. I am thankful for your help.

Perfect-o! Video is well put together and doesn't waste time with a lot of random, unrelated info. Like others, while emptying the dust bin the red squeegee-gasket and plastic ring fell into the garbage can. Thanks to your video I'm back in business sucking up hair and crumbs. I'm a 65+ technical writer and your instructions are spot on. Thanks for saving me time and money!

It's amazing how many of these things that look like they are fool proof get broken by various members of the family. I didn't dislodge mine, but I thank you very much for your great, very instructional video on how to fix this problem. I don't know if I would have been able to do this without your help, without breaking or destroying the seal or the vacuum cleaner container. A great deal of thanks from someone in Australia!

Yay! Mine has been separated for the past couple months and I wasn't sure how it went back together. I just glued it and reassembled it and so far so good! Forced me to clean it inside too so now it looks like a new vacuum again. Didn't have that small a screw driver for the screw but a kitchen knife worked.

Thank you sm for the video!! These exact pieces fell off while cleaning the bin or putting back to the body and I had no idea where to put back. This video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!!!

4:39 THANK U SO MUCH!! You're a God Send! YOU speak my language! An easy to follow, 'common sense' approach opposed to watching "Dancing Hands". I didn't glue but will now. My 1st thought was, "how'm I goin' 2 clean it?" When the ring 'popped off' as soon as I put it bk together, I thought, "Oh, 👍! NOW I get it!" Just a side note (cld just b my V11): w/the ring, red rubber gasket & metal ring plate, the notches are ALL slightly off. I have to CAREFULLY align ALL three @ th same time. If not, there's little to no 'snapping'/locking happening. You're going to be my 'GO TO GUY' from now on!! Thnx 4 all you do! Jil

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I (wrongly) assumed that the part that had become detached was vital to my v12 and very nearly ordered a new Dyson. I'm so pleased I decided to look for a home repair solution. I did try using my machine without the squeegy bit but it wasn't too convenient having to clean it frequently so I fixed it as per your instructions. Bingo! Good quality glue cost me about £5. Far cheaper than a new machine.
