I'm 60* years old. Thinning, brittle hair when once shiny and thick. I have both the Airwrap and Airstrait. Use them both constantly and they have been a blessing to preserve my hair and restore it to its shiny state without pulling or damaging my now delicate strands. No other hot tools come close.

Hi Christy, that is so great to hear the airwrap and airstrait have helped preserve and restore your hair! I really struggled with damaged hair prior and I find dyson tools have helped my hair health so much too! Any other tips you have would love to hear 💕

Because of the coanda effect, the Dyson tools smooth down the cuticle without pulling on the delicate hair strands so no more breakage. People really underestimate the smoothing brush attachments on the AirWrap. They look at the bristles spread wide apart and think there's no way that would be effective on their hair as they need tension. But they don't understand that the coanda effect keeps the strands against the brush head and blows the cuticle to lay down flat and smooth. None of the KZbinrs are explaining this. I belong to several groups of females suffering hairloss and am exhausted answering questions for them with no video to point them to. It would be great if you could do one especially for older women whose hair was once thick but now cannot stand to lose all the hair that the dual bristle brushes (i.e. Revlon, Shark) pulls out. Yes, the Dyson Airwrap came out with the new large round bristle brush and that's great for the younger crowd but if you're concerned about losing or breaking hair strands like I am, the smoothing brushes are the only way to go.

All they have to do is compare the amount of hair that accumulates on the dual bristle brushes (which I had to clean out every couple of days) and the hair that gets pulled out onto the smoothing brushes (hardly one if ever.)

Hi Alana, I have the same hair type as you and also blow dry or straighten most of the time. Could you please do a video on how you preserve your hair overnight and fix it in the morning? It would help so much❤

Hi thanks for the honest review. I purchased it but was not very happy with the end result. Straightening didn’t last longer. I had to use my dafni brush every time to keep my hair straight for ever. Not happy with airstrait 😢

It is indeed amazing - however downsides are that the opening of the blades is tiny - could have been wider - and also for those of you with curly hair - it does a fabulous job.. but it shows flyaways like crazy and getting to roots is quite hard- so i have to use my ghds over it after.
@alananoelle4 ай бұрын
Yes I have found that too - I defo could of done with being able to open the plates up more, especially when you have a lot of hair! Personally I haven’t found the same to be true with the flyaways but we will see, time will tell ☺️♥️

@@alananoelle good to hear the same on the plates needing to open up more! i have very fluffy hair - hence the flyaways. Still love it. Keep up the good work!

@@alananoelle The airstrait left some volume in your hair without making it poker straight. It looked really good. My hair was as long as yours or maybe a bit longer. I got 2.5 inches cut off, because it was getting so heavy.
