*This fan is everything I wanted in a desk fan and more. It looks great for **Fastly.Cool** my room , it puts out a wonderful amount of air. Is very easy to use.I just keep it plugged in.*

How exactly is your phone measuring wind speed?

It is just an app on my phone. I know it won't be hugely accurate but just gives a rough comparison.

I believe it's trying to use the Wind NOISE compared to build in records of other wind SOUNDS to ESTIMATE wind speed. Obviously the faster the window speed, the louder it will be in the microphone.

Dyson although the temperature reading is hotter. The Dyson fans heating plates dont heat up enough to burn dust. So no horrible smells

Improper way of measuring sound. The fact the mic is picking up air shows you're adding to the reading. You should only hear the fan and only the fan. The best way to do it is actually on the base of the fan so air doesn't blow into it. My Dyson hot & cold is actual 70 dB vs an old Sanyo fan is only 55.

This Dyson AM09 HOT + COLD is now a VERY EXPENSIVE PAPERWIEGHT 4 years later!!! H2 errors left and right.. I turn on the heater setting and NO MATTER WHAT SPEED< it's stuck on SPEED 1 (LOW) and then suddenly an HOUR OR 2 later, it will suddenly increase speed... I cannot go passed speed 7 because it will almost instantly go to H2 ERROR. It's plugged directly into the wall. I opened it up there and there was HARDLY ANY DUST Dyson is USELESS and just offered 20% off a brand new one.. But they don't make these anymore so you are stuck with a $1000 purifier....

As it is blowing the air fast, it will only be the same as the current room temperature, but because you have the air against you it has the effect of being cooler

Will this work in an environment where max temperatures are 117 F? RV's ac doesn't work and even with the window unit it's still hot. Just want to make sure it wont burn out or something

Most people use fans for cooling and not heating, so why exclude how cool they get.

Good question and you are correct that a lot of people use a fan for cooling. The main factor to remember is that most fans will just move the air rather than cooling it, but it gives the impression of being cooler. If you do want to get cool then an air conditioning system is recommended.
