Dyson Ball vs Kirby - Comparing performance of the DC25 to the Avalir 2

For years, I have been cleaning my home with a Dyson Ball DC25 vacuum. Recently, I purchased a Kirby Avalir 2. I decided the first use of the Kirby could be a comparison test where I clean a shaggy area rug with both vacs and see if there is a difference. Stay tuned for upcoming videos where I further compare performance, and more videos where I show off some of the Kirby features that separate it from the competition; shampoo, window washing, hard floor polishing, etc.

Years ago I had a Kirby and got the opportunity to talk to a Kirby tech. I asked him what the biggest. Mistake people make when vacuuming. His answer was quick, he said people go to fast. Ever since I .make sure not to rush and it makes a big difference.

I bought a Kirby 15 years ago and my biggest complaint was the lack of information when it came to the shampooing function and changing the parts to complete the clean. Other than that, it is an awesome product. If you can afford it, definitely go for it. Be prepared for the lack of help when seeking help though. Dyson? Waste of money when it comes to premium cleaners.

Thanks for sharing. I guess youtube has changed all that since you bought yours. Easy to find how-to videos now 😁. I’ve been really enjoying mine, and so it will be used for foam cleaning my windows

A bagged vacuum will always outperform a bagless vacuum. The vacuum lift just doesnt compare.

Dyson's work ok but break frequently, more failure points too. My Kirby's have never died on me yet. Plus they are far more powerful and versatile.

With Kirby,cause I have an avalir 2 as well…if you can manage to push the vacuum across the floor without tech drive is better.the tech drives cuts the suction down big time.I never use it unless I come to the edges of my area rugs

Yup😇test it out,you will see a big difference.I used it on my heavy area rug a couple of times and got towards the edge and it will take up the whole thing,when I use it towards the edge with tech drive…it doesn’t lift it as much.Yes,that thing has power.
