Thank you for your very informative video! I own this very vacuum and was shocked to learn that there really ARE filters that must be changed! I gotta say...I'm kinda pissed about being lied to by Dyson! These vacuums are not inexpensive and it's unfair of them to have such a high burn out potential! Wish there were a class action going on!
@wintertrader7 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris . Did you notice that you should change your filters ? This is very deceiving: they say no filters but in order to keep it working efficiently there are filters to be changed. I wonder if that is done through warranty

Thanks dude but why are you so angry? Tossing stuff around - do you just hate Dyson?

My Dyson is being picked up for service tomorrow. The rubber gasket around half of the ball is all wonky but I can see this is probably a glimpse of the future. 😬 I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when you commented " I would never buy a Dyson." 😂😩
@jTempVids6 жыл бұрын
Those filters should be free while under the warranty seeing that Dyson claims "NO FILTERS". I was just about to buy a UP14. Thank you for saving me. Why didn't they just put a pre-motor filter on the vacuum.
@PerformanceReviews6 жыл бұрын
If you're looking for a well-engineered vacuum don't buy a Dyson. Think about it British ideas re-engineered in Chicago and produced by Malaysian children. Why not just go with the company that makes their vacuum in the same country it was engineered in. I.E. www.SEBO.US

+dysonvacuumer35 Dyson's have always been rubbish. Made in Malaysia by children Mass marketed by a British dude and run out of Chicago. We've had a few models that are just okay . Stay tuned I have a couple videos on some other older machines.

Well I'm in the US where the first one we got was the DC 11 and DC 07. I was unaware they were ever made in Britain that's good to know. Fhantoms were not very well made which was one other business ventures of James Dyson.

So from your experience, if we have a lot of sandy dust around, would you recommend a Dyson WITH a filter? Or would you get a similar amount of dust in both?

+sarahblam I'd recommend a bagged vacuum you'll save money on filters. The vacuum will also last longer . Example sebo Felix.

how is there not a class action lawsuit against dyson for false advertising?

There have been Dyson is the 3ed name they have sold vacuums under . The 2ed was "Fantom " went under due to false advertising. The1st was Amway "clear track" vacuum

They say "no filters to wash/replace and in the instructions it says "dont use on too much plaster or flour". If you do what they say, then it should last a lifetime. But I get u and I dont hate
@SuperPickle15 Жыл бұрын
same reason car manufactures can claim "lifetime transmission fluid". Under ideal operation and environment, the filters probably will never need changed for an "expected" operation life. Thats why they state warnings to not use the vacuum outside expected operation environments.

After years as a consumer, I can no longer agree with the idea that Phillips drive screws are consumer friendly. Absolutely constant headaches repairing stuff, just constant stripping. I've been replacing everything with torx lately.

Do they have the same filter for the cylinder model? I have seen numbers of video talking about the Upright Model with the HEPA filters is clogged up, but no one seems to share the cylinder model.
@PerformanceReviews6 жыл бұрын
All plug-in Dyson's have a HEPA filter. The cylinders aka canister models 10 to be in a hard to get place and genuinely have enough filter media the last their 5-year lifespan.
@isofinal6 жыл бұрын
Everything is made and manufactured in Malaysia, but for some reason it's a lot more expensive to buy there. US is 40% cheaper, while UK is 50% cheaper (roughly)! Buying in Malaysia is almost double the price.
@isofinal6 жыл бұрын
Not to mention their inconsistency in their product's range and the provided tools. For example, all Dyson in Canada share the same turbine head design, while UK and US have different turbine head design for different model. I find it very confusing.

These dysons arnt that great anyway. Bought a brand new cinetic animal+allergy and vacuumed my new to me 120 year old house. I felt like it should have picked up more so I used my old bagless kenmore canister and literally pulled out 5 bins full of dirt. Long story short was very disappointed for a 699 dollar vacuum.

At least dyson got rid of their department of redundancy department with UP instead of DC since DC likely stood for “Dyson Cleaner” so it’s like saying Dyson Dyson Cleaner 41, which makes no sense. It’s like saying PIN number “personal identification number number”. (Excuse my bad joke. I’m sorry)

Dyson class action alleges warranty violates federal laws I think this is limited to persons in Arkansas, not national. Some interesting points in the article: Plaintiff La Quita Bennett alleges Dyson informs consumers that their warranty will be void if they use third-party services to repair their Dyson products. However, this type of warranty-voiding condition is prohibited by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, according to the Dyson class action lawsuit. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, consumers are allowed to open their electronics, appliances and other consumer goods without voiding their warranty, even if the warranty language states otherwise, the Dyson class action lawsuit explains. Warranties like the Dyson’s also stifle competition in the third-party repair industry, ultimately inflating the price of repair, the lawsuit alleges. Customers may also face long wait times to get their product into an authorized servicer for repair. topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/consumer-products/household/dyson-class-action-alleges-warranty-violates-federal-laws/
