So, I'm not entirely sure you'll see this as it's an old video.... But THANK YOU, I've just spent bloomin ages carefully taking apart, cleaning and reassembling my dyson dc07, only to put the cyclone together in the wrong order 🙄 Your video has helped me fix it and just stopped me from throwing the whole thing through the window 🤣🤣 (not before cutting 3 fingers and my right foot however) 👍👍👍

Dude. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for sharing this. I got into the exact same situation, and I was sweaty and frustrated trying to get that rod in the keyhole. What a difference by holding that trigger beforehand. Assembled and working perfectly! THANK YOU!

Thanks for sharing this. My handle was broken on the top of the canister by son's first-house mov- in day accident. Trying to order the Turquoise handle is impossible. Dyson wants you to buy the whole canister at $80 rather than the handle at $18. So they won't sell any color other than gray. I"ve since acquired a Shark cordless and the DC07 is now the basement vac. I got a little lost about how to reattach it but when the gray one arrives, I'll hang in there thanks to this and another video that shows the actual rod Thanks again.

I did the same thing-it was frustrating . I found A skewer long enough to push thru the hold and the bottom lid popped right open to put it back together. Saved me a lot of female stress.

Hah! Where or why didn't this video come up last week! Ran into the same problem! Way I solved it was to leave the top part off. Get a wire coat hanger and cut hook off and straighten out wire. Feed wire down into small hole where the release lever connects and once down in hole and then pull up and it should catch the release and lid will open. Make sure to leave lid open while replacing top part so you can guide release rod into the catch release hole when replacing top part.

you can also disconnect the push-rod from the upper cap assembly. Once the push-rod is loose, you can easily insert the rod to open the bottom of the canister. Then re-attach the push-rod to the upper cap assembly.

you are a fookin legend mate, so simple and ONE screw ha ha cheers! thanks for the video @flyboy8533 Just to add to this that it's best to re-attach the rod to the lid (clip it over the front first) then align the lid and screw holders to the bin part, turn it upside down with the lid open (DO NOT close it) and then you can see the rod and can guide it into the hole whilst holding the catch to push it down. Put the whole part onto a surface with lid open and put the screws in then close the lid.

Thanks for the video... I did the same thing and was wondering why I can't open the bottom door. So I'll take it apart and try again. Update: Bingo!! Thank you. The dyson is up and running

Hi! Thanks for this video. Helped me figure out what I’d done wrong but I’ve found a quick way for getting it hooked up without all the fiddly guess work! Just take the trigger off the underside of the top section and hook it back without the top on. Then just re assemble! Hope that helps someone...maybe!

I can't get the yellow cyclone part off of the main body. Pulling the release under the handle doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

How do you fix it because it's happened to me and has not been switched on for 2 weeks
