Many thanks for the video. The key was the close up shot of the motor itself as, at least here in the US, they make it quite difficult to find the motor based on the vacuum model number. Now that I have the Johnson part number I see that i can find it at least on ebay. Now I just need to tear the brush head apart and verify a number match and I can source the motor I need instead of buying the whole head assembly.

Unless we are mistaken Sam still uses his Electrix Paint Sprayer from 1949 for blowing out parts. It is a wee beastie 💨

Worst parts when they go rusty the screws that hold the brushbar in and you cant get them out as they strip! Worst nightmare with these dc40/dc41s lol
