it actually works alot better than any regular heater with fan, since it heats the riom much quicker and more efficiently, is silent during sleep time and the thermostat turns the heater off when it get to the desired temp which saves money plus can be used as cooler in summer. A heater fan with thermostat and good quality is $150 plus a regular fan with same output as dyson costs $70 plus. So lets say you spend $220 for two items that might still not have same build quality as dyson. Aside from that, some heaters that have thermostat are not accurately heating the room to desired temp as the thermostat doesnt necessarily shut off the heater and end up overheating the room.

The video was great right up to when you said that if you buy a regular cheap heater and a fan, you basically get the same thing, but much cheaper, I can with confidence say, that's not the case. I use this heater in my greenhouse in southern Sweden and I ordered it straight from the website, where I payed 3590 SEK. ≈ $437. I tried a heavy duty 2kw construction fan, but it wasn't doing a good job, well maybe it would have, if it wouldn't blow the fuse, almost every time when it's cranked up, this Dyson AM9 has no issues whatsoever, at the same 2kw and the heat is excellent, but somehow much more efficient. When you preset the temperature, all the way from 1 to 37°C it automatically lowers both fanspeed and heat, when it reaches the selected temperature, just like a climate control.

Yes that's right, it has no air conditioning function. When in cool mode it is just a regular fan.

EXACTLY. Read my story above. PISSED OFF with Dyson. COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY who lied to me and now i'm out of warranty and a $500 PAPERWEIGHT!!!!!

@@helenmullen9944 AM09? How old is it? Dyson told me it means there is less than the required 1500watts being given to it during it's heat mode. Do you have an extension cord or plugged to wall socket directly? unplug anything else on the wallsocket... Try a different wallsocket in house.. Mine is 5 years old and basically TOAST! I just have to deal with the random H2 errors and have to unplug it and plug back in. Dyson has told me nothing can be done, warranty over and here is a 20% discount code to buy ANOTHER from them (but only if you buy right then and there).

@@helenmullen9944 i had the same problem when the Fan is plug in with some other devices like a TV. Try plugging it alone and see if it will work.
