There's particul count in the menu of v11 but it is disabled as hardware is not supporting, I believe, isn't it?

My V11 has no particle counter. I think it's only available in the models with the laser head. I could be wrong though?

Great review. Does the wand of the v15 detect fit on the v11?

Yes it does

@@rmreviews3000 is that true if you get the v15 absolute or I think older v15+ with the crevice tool buried inside the wand ? I chatted with Dyson and was told the two wands for the v15 are not interchangeable with each other as if the actual v15 head unit is different in some way. It was making me want to steer away from the absolute so there is more compatibility with the large ecosystem of tools and attachments, OEM or aftermarket.

I was initially trying to decide between the v12 and v15 but the more i think about the small bin on the v12 and the fact that the size is smaller for all of the attachments, makes me think sticking with the v8,10,11,15,gen5 ecosystem makes more sense. That said, their $250 off deal just ended before i could get out of my own way so now I'm back trying to perhaps decide on something cheaper like a V11. I really like the idea of the laser fluffy head, so perhaps my decision is made. Some models of the V11 to have some fluffy head just without the laser. What's a guy to do ? The primary intention for this vacuum would be to use on mostly vinyl plank floors and a few throw rugs. We have three small dogs who shed a bit. I don't see us replacing our shark rotator for the carpeted areas though I have wondered if it's sealing as well as it used to after 8 years. Also, I found somebody locally selling two batteries for the V11 outsize which I believe are the same as the v15 for $40 for both batteries so it seems like a no-brainer to go v15 ( not sure they fit a standard v11) What do you think about my thought process?

I have the V10, V11, and V15. The V11 is a solid value and I've had no issues with it. I really do like the fluffly laser head though, and the fact I can vacuum for an hour. The canister fills up before then, so practically speaking I never have to stop to charge. The V11 and V15 batteries are fully interchangeable. I just checked. I have a lot more vacuum comparisons here www.youtube.com/@revmatchtv

Thanks for your thoughtful and kind response ( wow that is not always the case on some other vac channels when folks ask innocent questions - I don't get it.). Anyway..I did get the 2 spare batteries and charger and wall hanger from a fb marketplace person locally for 40$. She says she believes them to be healthy but until I get a vac, I'm just talking it on faith. She had an v11 outsize that she believes she killed by not having a completely dry filter after cleaning. She's now parting it out so who am I to complain. I see so many reviews that talk about the rollers ( non fluffy) being fine on all floor types. I never specifically hear about them being used on vinyl plank. Somewhere I found that the "beater" should be off on vinyl. We do that on our old rotator if we push it on our floor but usually use some old tubes and a hair type floor tool with the hose then. Are the motorized heads on the Dysons that safe for vinyl? I bet you can scratch it with anything like a small stone chip that even a fluffy roller will drag under the roller before getting sucked up. We take shoes off when we come in so it's rare to have hard debris like that so mostly a non issue but anything spinning fast to me could scratch the flooring. I don't find out vinyl plank to be very scratch proof . Just curious the overall thinking on these heads and vinyl flooring

I have used both heads on hard floors and carpet without issue. The fluffy head is only for use on hard surfaces. I don't think it will agitate carpet very well. I don't think the regular motor head will scratch vinyl. They've been fine on our hardwood.

I think best bang for the buck is V11 Torque. As of today, 12/8/2024, Dyson V11 Torque Certified Refurbished (I purchased one and it looks like brand new no sign of damage or usage) is $279.99 at Dyson's official eBay store including 2 years extended warranty provided by SquareTrade an Allstate company compared to only 6 months Dyson warranty offered at Dysons official website. (I believe first 6 months Dysons warranty then SquareTrade takes over)

Good luck with finding a filter on dyson’s website at least in the America for their newer vacuums.

I've found generic replacements on Amazon that have worked fine for me. Just search for a highly rated one.

Great comparison! One question - you verbally say it's the V10 and the V15, but the title of the video says it's the V11 vs. V15. Can you confirm please? I'm interested in the V11. Thanks!

Hi - yes, it's the V11. Sorry for my mistake! They are both very good vacs, but I've mainly moved to the V15 now because I like the laser head.
