when i was 7-8 years old, i was home alone and i watched terminator 2 for the first time on videotape... and at the end, when the terminator was falling into the molten metal, i started crying! at that moment my older sister came home and saw me crying, not hysterically, no... i just had tears and it hurt so much! she asked me why i was crying, and only years later i realized that moment, when the terminator was asking john why people cry... it was the so-called chekhov's gun, it's some moment in the film, often at the beginning, which is truly revealed at the end, making you understand the importance of that very moment! in my case, that gun went off years later! great film, great idea 👏🏻

I love Terminator, the Netflix anime was so good, and Resistances was a treat as I always wanted a Terminator prequel that toke place during the future war prior to The Terminator. And this soundtrack is such a banger, too. We've come a long way, lost Terminator 4-D at the Universal parks, had repeated mid films after T2, and now we're finally getting something good out of the franchise.

Terminator (1) is my favorite. It was very rich in its meaning and the way it made you feel. It wasn't a blockbuster but it had fear, tears, sadness and hope in it very raw. Kyle Reese wasn't a chosen prophet like John Connor, he wouldn't be talked about and praised but he was a martyr a hero he only had one night with the love of his life after all his sacrifice.
