Contacted the manufacture in china. They make other bikes models that they sell in Europe. Kugoo kirin and ienyrid b1. Look the same as this bike. But 48 volt. And faster. Ordered the 48v controller and BT module. Exact fit all plugs the same. Plug and play. Light work and even cruise control. So with a 48v battery and controller. Got it to go 24mph. Spent around 200. Plus you can monitor the battery voltage with BT and App. You can also lock the bike electronically with the app. Controller even had a one year warranty . Want to race?

Great review. I am almost 65 and retired. It's nice to see older guys riding this e-bike. I normally ride recumbent trikes but it's sometimes a hassle to load them up for a ride plus they are low to the ground not as visible as a regular 2 wheeled bicycle. I like how simple and small this e-bike seems. I don't need or want a lot of power or speed, just something to get around once in a while.

I'm a 60 years old woman in Sweden and I got this bike two months ago and I just love it! We all need toys sometimes no matter age I think 😁. I live in a city and this bike takes me out into the suburbs and the countryside too.

Yes the Jetson is restricted and has the smaller 6Ah battery. You can reprogram the Jetson for top speed. You can also add the Bluetooth module from DYU and adjust performance parameters from the dyu app.

Ok you spent alot of time talking about 250w vs 350w but i didnt here any mention of 10AH vs 6AH battery etc? Clearly we have 2 totally different batteries here. Perhaps the 350 is slower due to the battery being less expensive? The knock off bike im looking at is only 6Ah at 350 watts. Ie. Bigger motor with lesser battery? What about actual torque driving on a grassy terrain in my back 40? What would happen then? Clearly a 6AH battery is probably a different animal altogether than a 10 or 12AH. Probably not even shaped the same inside that box?

The only drawback of these bikes is that it is not easy to swap batteries if you want to go on a longer ride, maybe a redesign where the battery can just be swapped out would attract more buyers.

That’s a great point. I wonder why they never made it an option to access the battery? I know there are some people who ride quite a distance on it.

It's actually easy to add a second battery. The advantage of this ebike is that you can add any 36 volt battery. It's not proprietary so it won't be forced to buy the battery for the bike manufacturer.

Quite right about the rear brake , it’s better on the left because you only really use the rear brake 😊

Great video! Is the battery replaceable?

Yeap. But it's not cheap.

I assume the camera bike was the Jetson Pro? I always assumed all these bikes were made in the same factory with different brand names added afterwards.

Yup! You nailed it. I think a lot of factories make e-bikes and private label them out. Jetson did a fantastic job getting distribution in the US in big retailers.

@@EbikeProducts Yes, they took advantage of the spur of the moment shopper who goes to Costco, sees the bike there for an attractive price and says: hey why not? looks like fun and buys it, as opposed to going online, buying sight unseen, etc.

I have 3 DYUs but first model D1 that has no pedals just foot pegs. The tires are 12 inch and seat cannot be raised. I bought them 2017 and still use them still. I love them and everyone loves them when they see them.

Also follw up questions from my other post. The Pexmor only having a 6 Ah battery is exactly $100 cheaper. Im guessing its the cheaper battery. $100 isnt alot on an $1100 bike but these being under$500 id say its a big difference. Hasta be the battery. Also the controller that must be hidden in the battery box may be programmed differently, the smaller 6Ah is probably limited to using less power in a short drag race loke you were doing to keep the overal battery lifel "travel distance" the same. Id still like to know about overall torque on a grassy incline 350w vs 250.

You can buy a 10ah battery that fits in the same spot as the 6ah.

These are very popular because they will fit inside the trunk of a compact car.
