How do you count mantras with your mala while snapping 🤌 fingers. Also, does one have to pour water for every mantra repetition? Thanks a lot for posting this practice, but I still have these doubts and geshe is not available now to ask him.. I just do the yellow Dzambhala practice without water, just imagining I pour it over Dzambhala's head.

It helps to have two people together. One person to pour and another count with one hand using a mala 📿 and snap with the other hand. Visualization alone is ok.
