DZOFILM 20-70mm T2.9 Parfocal Cine Zoom Lens Review

I really like these lenses! But after using the Panasonic 10-25mm F1.7 which I really love. I would probably go for that one instead of DZOFILM 10-24. But for making truck video I dont need F1.7 and T2.9 is even bright enough. But the 10-25 is more versatile in the end. And to be honest I dont shoot that much in between 20-70mm.

What, they lended you one already? Noice! Thanks for sharing. Very exciting stuff. Especially now with Veydra gone (though Meike taking over 'bootleg' operation seemingly). Always good to see cinema schtuff happening for MFT. Paid them a visit myself during IBC2019. Really cool stuff, thoroughly enjoyed what they're doing and was able to check it out on one of their demo kits there. Just bought myself the Leica 10-25mm f/1.7, so for now my photography budget has already been spent. But definitely will keep these on the list as a next purchase!

I have a question, I know that the lens mount is a MFT but what is the image circle at 20 and at 70? I'm asking because I want to use in a super 35.

Not every mount can be adapter to, especially PL mount you are quite limited compared to mirrorless photo camera mounts

Not really the meike have aweful chromatic aberration can see in this video a blue cast on the lens white numbering.

@@chungdha You filmed this with the Meike? wow that really is bad CA, I'm looking for a cine lens for my GH5 but with 1600 ISO being the absolute max I would take it too I'm thinking T2.9 will probably be too dark?

This lens does not extend, only zoom lenses that extends when zooming those need to calibrate as there be a lot of weight shifts, lenses with internal movements don't shift their weight as much as extending ones.

Why is this a right-sided lens?? DPs are on the left side of the cam!!

Focus puller often on the right side of the camera operator, often in professional settings camera operator does not focus just concentrate on moving the camera and framing, while focus is done by a focus puller on the right side of the camera or wirelessly.

​@@chungdha It's okay. I know who works on wich side of the camera. I'm a filmmaker too. I have a Blackmagic Ursa with professional lenses but my every lenses are left-sided ones. Not always the focus puller sets the focus, for example, in a rehearsal of a take. DP needs to control the focus on his own side. Or a documantary shooting, the DP has no even a focus puller.

@@pppbela Honestly I would focus more with the monitor with Peaking then measure the distance and using the distance markers on the lens.
