Hindu background VDS was not given, instead "Christian" background K M Mani, belonging to a "chota" party was made Finance Minister of Kerala. Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Kerala - Mallu Christian Background. Defence Minister of India - Mallu Christian Background. Whenever, Italian Born Catholic Christian has power, Mallu Christians are "preferred" over Mallu Muslims and Mallu Hindus.
