Give examples of using inspite and despite both followed by noun clouse

'In spite of' and 'Despite' are followed either by nouns / noun phrases. ( E.g. In spite of the FOG / In spite of BEING FOGGY..) They can be followed by clauses only if the phrase "The fact that" is used in front of them. (E.g. "In spite of THE FACT THAT it was foggy,...." All of these are mentioned clearly in the video. Hope you watched it! 😊

Despite heavy rains/ in spite of heavy rains/ even though it rained heavily/ in spite of being wet in the rains - all these, as you said, are followed by nouns/ verbal nouns. rains (noun) being wet in the rains [verbal [noun phrase]] it rained heavily (which can be used as a noun clause). Interesting!
