Great drive and the chat! You mentioned toll motorways has fewer exits/entrance ramp than autovía in Spain at 9:23. What do you think if I tell you that the toll expressways in Japan, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, and China has more exit/entrance ramp than autopista counterpart in Spain?

This is explained by the higher population density of east Asia.

Already spotted a mistake -the map at 26:15 should not be there. Feel free to point out other goofs as such a long, thorough video may contain more than one!

If the Spanish traffic pattern makes a large toll plaza unviable, what kind of traffic pattern makes this a good option?

I may have wrongly explained myself -my point was that toll roads in Spain are seldom profitable as traffic is usually lower than in countries with large-scale toll road networks such as Italy, France or the northeastern US.

I don't know how the issue is in other countries but in Spain there is an extensive network of autovias (free highways) alternatives to toll highways that have a similar route. Toll highways are ruinous unless they have no better alternative. The AP7 was a toll highway until a few years ago, now that it is free, its traffic has increased enormously.
