@Usva782 ай бұрын
@@guitarzleo thank you 😊 Yes the countryside and even the town here is quite beautiful 😊 Too bad the winter is coming and starts to be cold and dark in morning, so my commute riding has been on hold 😅 I need to adjust clothing a bit and do some test ride on these close to 0 celcius temperatures to work, maybe it is not so bad 😅 During day still around +10 so thats not too bad and autumn is full of colors so beautiful nature to see 😊

@@Usva78 Thank you for your reply. It's true that EV batteries tend to suffer in cold weather... Riders as well! Definitely insulated clothes for you, I don't know if there are any protective materials to cover the battery. Anyways, happy riding whenever you can!

@@guitarzleo thanks 😊 I did rrad somewhere that you can put kind of battery wrap on some batteries and actual use of battery warms it too 😊 For myself I need to buy some better winter outdoors clothes, already using layers in clothing and coldest I have been riding has been maybe +5 on some part of way 😅 usually no less than +10... lets see in future videos how it goes 😄👍

Great review, and you're right. You do get cold when riding it in cold weather. My back motor started failing at 1516 miles. 2439 KM. Started wobbling very subtle, but at high speed, you detect it. I'm trying to get a replacement from EKX. Or might change to direct drive type motor. Nice to see your review.

Get on to them thay should send you a set of replacement gears
@zane___k73332 ай бұрын
@@revparsons3tl they said they're getting the engineers to look into it. I don't think geared hub motors are good for people who use the bike heavy like every day. But lets see what they say.

Did you do a video mate and sent it to them
@zane___k73332 ай бұрын
@revparsons3tl they asked me to send one to them. I actually sent them 3. Along with proof for some other stuff. So im waiting to see how that claim goes. Honestly, i would much rather then send me a direct drive motor. Because i ride this bike everyday and if this is an issue with geared motors it will just happen. Again. Thank you for the consern. Appreciated

How much does the compulsory road insurance cost for the X21 electric bike? Can insurance be concluded with a monthly contract or can a 6-9 month contract be concluded? Is it possible to temporarily terminate the traffic insurance contract at any time and continue the contract after a few months
@Usva782 ай бұрын
@@Tartu1000 here in Finland I have insurance from If-insurance company. They have those for e-bikes and it only costs about 80€ per year or so. I think I pay it in 6 parts so it is not expensive. That only covers the compulsory trafic insurance, but if I want to insure the bike (theft, crash, fire,...) then that would have been like 170€ extra. I think you can do the same temporary termination as with cars insurance. But I do not know for sure. And there should not be any minimum for the duration of that insurance. So you should be able to get one for few months too.
@Usva782 ай бұрын
@@Tartu1000 my home insurance covers theft of ebikes, so that side is covered from there. Different insurance company as this one had only moped insurance for my ebike and that was double the price compare to ebikes trafic insurance from If.
@Usva782 ай бұрын
Oh and cost would be the same for all roadlegal ebikes that need to be insured. That is over 250W and moving without pedaling... now i think with new regulations weight of the bike is one reason for insurance too 😅
@Tartu10002 ай бұрын
@@Usva78 There is still no mandatory road insurance for electric bicycles and scooters in Estonia. But on December 1, there will be mandatory motor insurance for electric scooters with a weight of more than 25 kg. The X20 and X21 electric bicycles do not have mandatory road safety, because these vehicles can also move with the help of pedals. In Estonia, the one-year insurance premium for mopeds and scooters with gasoline engines is €27-€35, but not more. I wanted to know how much the specific traffic insurance for your X21 is financially. In Estonia, not a single insurance company knows yet how big the insurance premium for scooters weighing more than 25 kg will be, because according to the current compulsory mobility insurance tariff, it should be around €700 per year, but it is too much financially.
@Usva782 ай бұрын
@@Tartu1000 just checked and my insurance is 88€/year and covers all damages to people in accident (me, passenger, others in crash), damages to vehicles, items and property of other "side" of crash, but not my bike. So it is same as mandatory car insurance that way.

Hi man, how do you wash it?
@Usva782 ай бұрын
@@gnl495 I have wiped it once with wet cloth, but if I would really need to wash it, I would remove the battery and maybe spray some parts with water and wipe the more delicate parts. It should be able to handle like rain and stuff, but I would not use high pressure washers or spray directly to battery connections or controller box. After washing I would wipe the more delicate parts with dry cloth and let it dry. I think you can actually use hose to wash the whole bike, but I would be a bit more careful... it is just me, but thats how I would do it 😅 Maybe some other viewers who own the bike have more info on this.
