You said that that people said there was some pavement on this trail however you didn't see any. I saw pavement when you cross the road. Maybe that was what they meant. :) The area where they are prepping the pavement looks like it will be really nice one day like the section of pavement you eventually found.

Larry, come out to Henderson Nevada where I live and try our MOUNTAIN trails. Then you get to see how 2 wheel drive really helps. I have a 2023 E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown, E-CELLS 1st AWD bike that's very similar to yours. I notice you have a very similar flashing headlight to mine. Gotta BE SEEN!

I had one from another bike and it fit so why not? I put it to use and it works well.

The Calumet Trail is a public trail. Almost all is now completely paved.

There's motor noise and those knobby tires sing on pavement, and of course crunchy gravel on the gravel.

I'm thinking of buying a Monstar, but the suspension on this one looks appealing. For the 1,000 more watts the Monstar offers, is it worth it? The King's Crown seems to have all the bells and whistles and plenty of power. Any way I do enjoy watching your adventures Larry, keep having fun.

I was going to get a Monstar too. However, I guarantee the ride is way better on the Kings Crown. The monstar is built on a Monarch frame. I have a Monarch and thought it was a Cadillac until I got the KC. You won't go wrong with either choice. 👍 Thanks for watching Kurt!

I can assure you that the E-CELLS Kings Crown has the best build quality of any AWD bike out there.

@@ericb.4358 Thanks for the heads up. In some ways it would be nice to incorporate the King Crown and monster. 60 volts is a little more range and speed, and the 1,000 more watts is there if you need it. But I'm leaning towards the King's Crown for that comfortable ride and still plenty of power. I'm not pulling the trigger until next spring anyway, so I'll wait and see.

I concur that the KC is unmatched in ride quality. As for raw Power; the Monstar has few competitors. Dave Cleveland is coming out with a controller upgrade for the KC which should significantly improve power output. I heard that next Spring is the approximate release date.

They are expensive. I'll be getting an Ecells 600w dual motor in about a week. Watch for that review. With a coupon that bike will ship for $999 total 😊
