I enjoy these videos immensely. I think you should do more content like this. One piece of info about home on wheels. We owned a beautiful lot on the Currituck sound on the east coast and we wanted to put a temporary home there but we're not allowed. The uppity neighbors didn't want any "riff raff" invading their dominion. And the homes there were only in the 2 to 4 hundred thousand dollar range. The zoning would not allow you to build whatever you wanted on your own waterfront lot. But back to your bike reviews. I have bought 3 different e bikes and your reviews helped me a lot. The first was a Velotric Nomad and the second was an Aniioki A 7 and my newest, a 2024.5 Wired Freedom. Of course the 45 mph bike is my favorite.

Blocking the bike lane but not cars when going to an active landslide path is wild, that's a typical American moment lol
@Tweak423 ай бұрын
To be fair, the likelihood of bodily injury (or death) from a bike crash along that busy section of street compared to a car is far higher (highest density of injury lawyers in socal). That rough stretch of road has constantly been moving for DECADES requiring ongoing maintenance and repaving, thus the shoulder and bike lane are secondary importance. It's only recently that the slide spread into the neighborhoods.

I just did a range test on this bike day before yesterday. Gravel rail path all the way, 795ft elevation gain, 55 to 60 degrees temp, using level 1 and 2. The bike made it 85 miles. Completely ran out of power and had to pedal the last 15 miles slightly downhill.

@@TailHappyTV It's sunny right now, Wednesday. Hope you're out. I'm going out right now, before it starts raining again. Keep the great content coming. I really enjoy your "adventures" mixed in with the bike reviews. I lived in the LA area from age 5 to 63, so I know every street that appears in your videos. Downtown was always sort of rough, but it's much worse than I remember as a kid. I remember literally breaking my bike in half jumping moguls in a field where the Fabulous Forum now stands. My brother was with me; I got us home by putting him on the handle bars. Dad wasn't too happy about how far we were from home. He loaded us into the car, retrieved my bike, and had it welded back together. Big fun! My favorite ride was down the Helm's bakery factory to purchase a fresh pack of Twinkies for ten cents. Too much fun.

@@Trailtested The E-cells Monstar has 2x1500W hub motors though, which is better than the wired 1000W front hub motor. Plus with how Wired had all those issues with wobbling, which they admitted to and are trying to actively fix, I would not feel safe buying something from them.

@RXR253 ай бұрын
@@jfly2249 They have the monstar clocking in at 50 mph with software limiter. Its 2x40 amp controllers. The wired bike has a 50 amp and a 30 amp controller, and from what I saw on a review today it tops out at 45 mph. So its not simply about the calculated work. Also from what it seemed, the default settings have the wired bike spinning its tires really easily. Seems fun, but its ultimately not helping it to go any faster and just wasting power if it can't put it down. Either it needs better tires or it needs a different power delivery map.

You have every legal right to travel on public lands. I get that residents can be sensitive to embarrassment or PTSD of the situation of potentially losing their house, or irritation of "situational tourism". But I am a strong advocate for the right to travel and have access to public and private lands (private where you are permitted by the owner.) recall that access to private lands is via public lands. The right precedes the creation of the United States and appears in the Articles of Confederation. The U.S. Constitution and Supreme Court recognize and protect the right to interstate travel. The travel right entails privacy and free domestic movement without governmental abridgement.
