E-flite F-18 Hornet 80mm take off on grasstrip / Start auf Rasen

My modifications on E-flite F-18 to make it absolutely suitable for grasstrips.
- Longer nosestrutconnector (13mm longer) lifts nose.
- Cleaned EDF Unit. (Starts from wet, freshly cutted grasstrips led to dryed hard mud in the stator)
- removed gear doors

Thanks for the video. Did you need to cut any foam out to raise the wheels when flying or simply remove doors? Also, could you please tell me the part number of the longer nose strut connector and who you ordered it from? I have recently purchased this jet used and the fields and am in the process of completing all the mods (elevator mod, reverse thrust). As space is limited where I fly and I am told this jet can be difficult to control at slower speeds.

Hallo, honestly that's a long time ago. I think I did cut and soldered the longer connector pin myself. The foam was cutter out a bit more if I remember correctly. You need either way on gras a relatively long runway. Also high C rate batteries help. We flew at the time of the Video only with 30C. 50C shall work better.

Hallo Ich fliege in Verein mit gemähte rasen wird das auch Probleme geben beim start? Muss ich mit halbe klappen starten? LG aus frankfurt

Das kann man pauschal nicht beantworten. Grundsätzlich ist dieses Modell eher für Hartpisten zu empfehlen. Wir starten mit vollen klappen.
