Its a real shame Andrew's E-Heroes didn't get really popular like some other channels. All of his episodes are extremely well done and better in some instances than the popular ones. He quit many years ago and I do not blame him but its a real shame. I would have rather watched him.

about the game not being completed: MM1 was a commercial failure, or at least made Capcom not to continue with this franchise. but wait! they made MM2 and such! well Inafune and his team worked on MM2 only on their free time, while working on the games Capcom wanted them to work on. after the commercial success known as MM2 Capcom wanted Mega Man to be an annual title, and Inafune & co. had very little time to work on MM3. Inafune himself stated that it was the least polished game. so it's not a conspiracy, but the truth!

Actually if you hold down right on the second controller not only do you jump higher but you get a sorta invincibility. Walk into a pit with right heal down on the second controller and have a enemy pass above your head while in the pit. All of your energy will be sucked away and you cant die from hits.

I'd just like to say, your reaction at the start of the video to the "one game" Tambourine was keeping is, in fact, *the most appropriate reaction to a video game ever!* Also, it's impossible to one-shot Shadowman with Top Spin. (Or any other weapon.) His invincibility frames prevent that, usually leading to Top Spin being drained in an instant. (Because Top Spin drains whether it hurts an enemy or not.)

Love MM3.. with 4 honestly being a VERY close second. Fantastic job with this! :D As for weaknesses... Magnet Man is interesting in that he's weak to both Shadow Blade and Spark Shock. He also takes more damage from the generic buster, and like all MM3 RMs he also takes decent damage from his own weapon in the rematch. Either way, I always started with Snake Man. He's actually very easy if you can make it to the center platform. Just jump over him every time he approaches and go back up there afterward.

MM3: "a very well balanced game." *ahem* You can glitch the Rush Jet early if you have the Shadow Blade. It's programmed so that it's already in your inventory (w/ 0 W. energy, so you will need to fill it up); you just need a key (or a glitch) to unlock it a la SFxT DLC, and that's gotten via normal means. It seems fair to say that this goes for all MM3 weapons/utilities; it's just a matter of picking the lock and filling up your "new" weapons with energy. Rush Jet does not consume W. energy as long as you are not on Rush Jet (meaning you can basically use little to no energy by jumping). The hit boxes are as such that if you fly to the top of the screen via Rush Jet, your hit boxes are moved all the way to the bottom of the screen. In other words, if you're flying at the top of the screen, you can't get hit unless something sweeps under you at the very bottom of the screen and is aligned with you vertically. The opposite holds true for when your hit box would normally go below the screen, only that's far more risky and pointless. Rush Marine is useless as there are far and few underwater segments in the game (it's still useless in MM4, but at least there's more water). Top Spin is arguably the second most behind the Metal Blade (third if you count Jewel Satelite's nigh invincibility against projectiles as well as one-shotting most enemies without consuming W. Energy) if not the most broken RM weapon in existence as it uses up no weapon energy provided it can one-shot an enemy, meaning that it can be used more times than Metal Blade without having to be refilled (at the cost of not breaking as many RMs. Air Shooter is still a lot more amusing to use on Wood Man though). The only reason why people say it sucks is because they try to use it against Shadow Man while he or Mega is invincible. A programming error makes it so that Top Spin hits count every time it hits a frame, and W. energy is used up in turn if the target is not destroyed. It's still the better weapon against the final boss though. Hit detection can make the game think you died if it thinks you hit a wall spike when in fact you didn't. Gameplay continues normally as though you never died (because you haven't), but music is removed until the next change in music occurs (usually the boss theme). MM3 had two separate RM weakness chains (with Shadow Blade as common ground) as opposed to the previous and future installments (except for 7 (mostly) and 8 due to plot progression) where there was one cohesive chain (MM2 just had added a bunch of extra weaknesses to the mix). MM3 was rushed during production, more so than the previous two installments, and had a brand new team that didn't know much about Mega Man (this was Inafune's "first" time leading; they got a new leader who knew absolutely nothing about it either, and Inafune needed to show him the ropes) and with little time for testing and debugging, thus being the glitchiest of the classic Mega Man games (it's also why it feels incomplete in some senses, like the pause menu/bar), so very balanced? I wouldn't say so. That's probably MM4 (and even so, there's an oddity involving a fully charged Pharaoh Shot). That doesn't mean MM3 is bad or that I hate it. If I'm being honest with myself, it's my second favorite MM game behind MM4 (better weapons; better music), and there's plenty that MM3 did right: Sliding, Rush, better balanced weapons (mostly; Spark Shot still sucks. Nowhere near as bad as Power Stone though), a feeling of resolution and that this could have been the last Mega Man game (revisiting MM2 RM's via Doc Robot, bringing back MM1 bosses and revamping them, and the first part of the credits) while leaving room for a sequel (like the saucer isn't obvious enough) if it was successful. Best of all though? No more one weapon only weaknesses. Major pet peeve with MM2 that I share with Andrew is the fact that you are screwed in that game if you don't keep Crash Bomb and Bubble Lead constantly filled during the Wily Castle because that's what the wall beam trap boss, Wily Machine, and Wily Alien are weak to, and they're only weak to one of them. Anything else ether bounces off or in the case of Wily Alien, heals it. And because of the way the last stage is set up, if you run out of Bubble Lead, you're forced to game over as there aren't any enemies to farm. True, MM4's Wily Capsule is at fault as well (while also being the start of a very painful tradition since the capsules are just as find of warping into untraceable inconvenient spots as a Kirby final boss), being only vulnerable to a couple RM weapons, but you could at least farm in the hallway before for W. Energy, even if the enemies are highly uncooperative in doing so at times. The point of the Mega Buster being there is to be a back up or a go to all-around balanced weapon if all else fails or you want to conserve W. Energy or you just like to challenge yourself with Buster only...maybe even go for Perfect Runs, I don't know. You could do that in MM1, and you could still do that in MM3. Anyways, that's my two cents on MM3. Balanced MM game? Not really. Glitchy at times? Definitely. Still fun regardless? Absolutely.
@joonavuoristo465910 жыл бұрын
I agree with you almost entirely. Good points! Btw, What are your favourite MM games? Mine would be 9 first, then 4, then 3. The order for the rest is kinda complicated.
@Rexaura88810 жыл бұрын
In terms of weapons (including MMV due to it be vastly different from GB MMs prior): 9 (Jewel Satellite is best shield and best weapon), 4, 3, 2, 7, 8 (would be higher than 7 and 2 if it weren't for the fact that Rush utilities are absolutely useless compared to S. adaptor), 1, MM&B, 5, 10 (only because of DLC weapons. Everything else in that game was really awkward to use save for T. Blade and W. Shield), V, and 6 (not even the R. Adapters could save this game from original yet really awkward to plain old recycled weaponry). In terms of music: 4, 3, 9 (barely ousted because of the Whistle Concert and Wily stages. 9's probably my favorite soundfont though), 10, 5, 6, 7, 8 (both SS and PSX), 2, 1, V, and MM&B (if both the GBA and SNES versions used different soundfonts, it's be higher up, but as it stands, those snare drums get really annoying really fast) In terms of overall feel (gameplay, story, and other elements): 4, 9, 10, 3, 7, 5/MM&B (tied for 6th), V, 2, 1, 6, 8 (oh that 90s to early 2000s Capcom voice acting. Great for Resident Evil. Not so much for MM Classic and X. Were it not for that, sleds, and horrendous swim controls, 8 would be above 6 and maybe even 1 as I really liked the Rush Jet segments).
@Rexaura88810 жыл бұрын
Oh and I guess honorable mentions to powered Up's weapons and music and such. Time Stop, Oil Slider, and Time Man's and Oil Man's themes didn't really add much if anything to MM1 so I'm not going to include it there. Was kinda cool to play as the RMs (mostly) as well as other characters, so I'd stick it between 5/MM&B and V in terms of overall feel. I am curious though: you said "almost" entirely agree with me. What seemed to be disagreeable to you? Any points I missed out on (pretty sure I included something about Spark Shot being nearly useless, but the KZbin app won't let me see that far in).
@joonavuoristo465910 жыл бұрын
***** Well, it was about Power Stone being more useless than Spark. Spark Shock is like an extremely downgraded Ice Slasher, which I view as one of the best weapons in the series. Spark doesn't let you pause or switch weapons, in the worst case leaving an extra obstacle in your way. Plus, it doesn't work on all enemies unlike its icy counterpart. As a boss weakness it's extremely useful, but outside that it doesn't really help. As for Power Stone, it's really weak and very awkward to hit anything with, but against those Power Massler enemies waiting above or below ladders, it's a slow but probably the most effective option. But against Charge Man, it's probably one of those "harder to use" weaknesses than the Mega Buster. But well, it's good for showing off. Well, now that I look at this again, Spark Shock does have the advantage of being straightforward and the weakness of at least five bosses and the Power Stone is strong against only one. It really depends.
@Rexaura88810 жыл бұрын
Spark Shot, aside from doing no damage to common enemies, does stun them. You can use it to get by the larger more troublesome enemies easily too. It's something that speed runners tend to use than the casual Mega Man player, so I can see why more people see it as being worse than Power Stone. It's a toss up between the two I suppose. I never thought of using Power Stone against Power Masslers actually. They usually aren't so bad except for the one in Dark Man stage 3 that overlooks a pit. I'll have to give that a try, even if Napalm Bombs and Gravity Hold work better on most common enemies I find. At least you can cancel out the P. Stone projectiles with the pause button, which helps in boss fights where you find yourself using it...which is really never if I'm being entirely honest.
@Blues_Light10 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, the introduction to my story. (Bl) You are correct on it being incomplete. The game is still great but it's actually one of Inafune's least favorites due to the fact that he didn't get to bring the game to its full potential due to a myriad of problems. It's an amazing game already, we can only imagine how awesome it would be if it were truly complete.
