To Led and Fran: Guys, I hope you both know we all love the music you two put out; it is truly beautiful. But most of all, I hope that both of you know how good you are together; I for one never get tired of listening to you and I know there are so very many of us that believe the same way. Thank you; but mostly thank you for doing what YOU both love doing so very, very well together. God bless.

The echo of auntie Emma and Robert doing this...still a soft place in the timeline of my heart, When this song was new, it did not know for sure the harbinger it was that they would leave this world so soon, and in so close a time to each other. Lately, I have found, dying is hard on the living...but living is worth it. Ku'u pua, ku'u lei nani mae'ole 'ea, ke ola mau loa, e ku'u lei. Ke kali aku nei 'ia 'oe , ea...e ho'i mai kaua la e pili.

Fran Guidry Fran is Edius available for PC only and what are it's virtues that make you choose it over the other available editing packages? I am learning my chops at video/audio as well, but I'm just a beginner.
@franguidry9 жыл бұрын
Rev. Heng Sure Yes, PC only. Edius is aimed at "Edit Anything" and to do it with real-time performance. I switched to Edius when I got tired of "importing" (transcoding) files to get them into Premiere Elements. At the time there were stability issues with Vegas and Avid was way expensive. I've been very happy with Edius, it handles my 4K cameras well, gives me all the capabilities I need, and has an active user forum that provides excellent coaching. Like all NLE software it has its own "way" so learning the Edius way makes things a lot easier, so having helpful users is a big plus. Fran
@franguidry9 жыл бұрын
Rev. Heng Sure I should add that the "edit anything" capability is now widespread. Traditionally video was transcoded from a capture codec to an editing codec, but these days it's common to be able to drop the original file onto the timeline and go to work.

Plain nahenahe. I love this mele since the first time I heard Weldon Kekauhoa sing it, I love the lyrics and the ka'ona. and I love the hula my wife choreographed. Great and sensitive playing. Where can I find tablature please?
@franguidry4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for visiting, I'm sorry to say that we have no tablature for our arrangements, we just pull them out of the air. This is one of Led's signature songs so we play it often and what we see on this video was from that moment. If you search the internet you can find the chords to the song, and I did a bit of a tutorial at Taropatch.net some years ago: www.taropatch.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10946 I hope that helps at least a little, Fran

Beautiful and serene at the same time. I was wondering about the guitars that you and Led were playing.
@franguidry9 жыл бұрын
Panamagene Led is playing his 000-16, an early Style 16 with dovetail neck joint, long (25.4") scale length, and narrow string spacing. The guitar is mahogany back and sides and spruce top. He uses a Baggs Element pickup. My guitar in this clip is a fairly recent (post China manufacture) Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500RCCE and the pickup is the stock eSonic2 dual element system. We're both tuned to open G, spelled D G D G B D from lowest pitch to highest. Fran

Wes Corbin Kailua, O`ahu. There's a suburb of Kailua called "Enchanted Lake." The lake was originally a pre-contact Hawaiian aqua-culture pond and this stream connects the lake to the ocean. It's called Ka `Elepulu Stream. These days it's used by stand-up paddlers, kayakers, outrigger canoe racers, and party barges. Here's another video I shot from the same location during our visit last year: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3ese52kbbakl6M Fran

Thanks for visiting. Hawai`i has attracted people from around the world ever since the Polynesians came in their canoes, and many who come as visitors decide to stay. Interesting to hear that at least one of those who stayed came from the Netherlands. Fran

The name De Vries is one of the most common names in NL. DeFries must be the polynesian pronouncation.
