I always love to learn hula ever since I came to Hawaii 19 yrs ago. I learned the basics of hula here in Oahu but unfortunately when I started working one job to another, learning the ropes and the culture of Hawaii, my love for hula was put aside. Now I saw your KZbin channel "How To" instructions...I love it! Your instructions are very clear and you are beautiful. Then maybe I will be able to dance the song I love "The Prayer" and will be able to dance for my uncle's "Sinulog event" in California, as I promised him 5 yrs ago. Thank you so much Lynn.

Aloha Lynn, can I show your choreographies to my students? You are so wonderful and a great teacher :-) I practice everyday at home and look forward to new videos every week! Greetings from Germany
@iHulaHawaii6 жыл бұрын
Aloha Melanie from Germany! I have some German in me too! I appreciate you asking about how to use my choreographies. I created each video as a teaching tool, so that you can use it that way. I don’t mind if you would like to share my channel with your students, using the videos to help them learn, but learning it to teach others is not a common practice in the hula world without the proper training in the cultural manners, historical significance, etc. that occurs over many years. It is also is my hope that no one monetizes from my choreographies, as they belong to me. I greatly appreciate you asking this and mahalo for your understanding. Please let me know how it goes with your students learning from the videos. Are you a dance teacher or classroom teacher?
