To avoid rusting just wear some cotton gloves and wipe down the metal. Your fingers have oils in them that will promote rust .I also wipe down the metal with a silicone cloth. My Vfc AK-S74 which I have had for over 15 years still looks as new by using this method.

Thank You for valuable tip! Right now i am conservating replica as real steal - so i cleaned everything and used special conservant. But definetely I will handle my AKS as You recommend. But compared to my LCT AKM this E&L looks more prone to get rusty

Thanks, it is externaly really well made :) hence I would like it little bit better if the color is more black, it is little bit "greyish" :)

I dont like wood on e&l essentials because its not laminated and so its not like in real ones. Have you had any problems with that gun yet?

I prefer laminated wood either-like on my Lct akm. But i must say after some time i became to like wood furniture on this e&l too. No problems yet, just the lower front hadguard became little bit loose-because i carried it with no special care

@@airsoftfantom I think it may be good if handguard is little loose because in real guns they may loose too, but of course it may be annoying. By the way in real ak74 the grip is more dark brown than that.

@@siikaahven6890 it is not that bad. Out of box it was perfectly rigid, now it is little bit loose(front lower handguard) but no drama:) Because of that color and laminated wood, I would like to by LCT ak74 also, do you have experience with that?

@@airsoftfantom I have only experience of some lct tactical ak wich doesnt have any problems. I think i may buy essential ak74m with skeleton stock and then i find real guns wood front handguad and e&l brown handguard on it.

what dust cover did you use and how did you get it to work?

I bought cyma dust cover, but it has too thick mounting "arms" for e&l sights mounting space. So i just left it for future me... i would sand or dremel down "the arms" to fit. But one thing bothered me-e&l is not laqueered, it is treated steel, but the cyma dust cover is painted black, so i am not very prone to mount it...

@@airsoftfantom LCT makes the same dust cover that matches the same paint as the E&L, you need to find a smaller roll pin and sand down the part where the sight meets the trunion but it works. Just bought mine, if you need help LMK

Did this come with a plastic orange muzzle device as well?

Because i am situated in europe this came with steel muzzle device as shown in vid. In europe it is not necessary to have orange muzzle device... so frankly speaking i do not know if they ship it for US also with orange muzzle device, sorry
