To be honest I wouldn’t even bother with high ended mascara anyways I mean I regret it twice now I bought both high ended and trending mascara like the L’Oréal Telescopic mascara and Maybelline High Sky mascara came to a conclusion that neither of them actually work… they got make my lashes stick together and make them look really horrible and clampy… I love elf there soo affordable and has to be one of my MOST FAV brands there concelour is perfect unlike other concelour which are patchy and dry and super hard to actually blend out I prefer elf over any high end brand actually thinking to get the Elf Roller mascara now instead

I love that elf is dupeing big brands! I always say if they didn’t make their products so expensive then a dupe wouldn’t be needed. Pulse roller lash has been out forever so people have had time to get it they want. I do understand that smaller indie brands shouldn’t be touched in terms of dupes but elf is not doing that. ❤

I agree. Also, I wouldn't spend $27 on a mascara so I wouldn't be a Benefit customer anyways. My boyfriend always says that I have champagne tastes on a water pocketbook. Elf allows me to do that. lol

I’ve never tried Elf mascara. Definitely something worth checking into. I’m okay with with the dupes as long as it’s not from small brand companies as you discussed in a previous video. Personally I think the Elf did a better job on your lashes. Thanks Jen!

Hi Jen, you can make your mascara smudge proof. Dip your eyeshadow brush into your translucent setting powder, then tap of the excess. Apply a tiny just to the tips of your lashes after applying mascara and youre set for the day regardless of your eye creams.

This is incredible. I’m with you about ELF’s mascaras. I have always loved ELF but that was the one product I could never like. I have no problem with the duping. They do a great job and they make it affordable for everyone.

Imo the ELF side looked longer, which appeals to me because my lashes are poor little stubby things. Although I might try the mascara in the purple tube ( I forgot the name but I have it written down for my next trip to dollar general) before ELF. Definitely gonna try this when it gets to ulta! Benefit roller lash is my hg mascara so a cheaper alternative will be great! I do honestly think your eye with the elf looked more lifted and natural

I’m definitely going to grab this. I use mostly drugstore/budget-friendly products, and I try to shop only cruelty-free brands. I don’t have a problem with Elf duping some of the iconic products from big-name brands-like you were talking about in your other video on dupes.

Elf lash and roll is a great mascara for aging eyelashes. It doesn't ever clump or go on ridiculously ❤❤❤

Great point about mascara not smudging in winter. I use so much sunscreen, etc in summer . I think Elf is better on you. Now I will order on elf ( sale) 2 elf mascaras, a mini eyeshadow , and holy hydration cream with Free ship for 19.!! If u didn’t find us dupes, honestly I wouldn’t be able to buy Xmas gifts and occasional new dupes for myself!! Helpful hint. When applying mascara hold mirror near your chin and look down into the mirror. It helps to not hit your upper lid with the wand. I have a strong brow and hooded eyes so it’s so easy to hit with the brush. Hopefully this will work for you‼️

Hi Jen, this video was perfect timing this morning, I paused the video and went to Elf’s website immediately to grab that mascara (it looked amazing on you and that Roller Lash is one of my favorites) and to my happy surprise they had re-stocked the Halo Glow in a limited stock and I was finally able to grab one in the shade I wanted, I’ve been wanting this forever, so thank you for this video otherwise I wouldn’t have even gone to their website. I also saw a new Grip primer (I hadn’t bought the other one yet) the Power Grip Primer + 4% Niacinamide, added that to my order too. Ok, I’m finally back home now off to finish watching your video.❤

And yes to climate and skincare related factors. They will make a difference in how much product transfers when you blink. ☺️😘

Haha we get traffic here too but mostly on the highways and roads that have traffic lights. It can get pretty backed up in those places, hence why I always take the back roads! They're usually nice and wide open! 🥰

So glad this got a good review! I just got it, but I haven't opened it yet. I don't mind e.l.f. duping as much as other brands because they also come up with excellent quality original products and sometimes they go on to add twists to the products they duped (I think there's a new version of the sticky primer?). Plus they seem to dupe products that have been out for a while, so the high-end brands have had plenty of time to build their brand loyalty. That said, I think they should come up with more original packaging. They could always say "compare to..." or something in product descriptions instead of directly ripping the look.

Hi Jen! When you put on your mascara, while looking into your mirror, try to incline your head backwards, the effect would be as if you looked downward... I guarantee you won't stamp any mascara on your lids anymore! 😉

Hi Jen - I am going to give the ELF mascara a try. I like a drier formula and a plastic comb like brush to separate. I’ve tried the too faced years ago and wasn’t that impressed. You have the prettiest eye color! They look teal.

The roller lash is great and I never pay full price, always get them on sale but I stopped buying it because the cap always comes apart from the applicator handle. I've had three (mini and full size) and this has happened. Benefit needs to dupe Elf's packaging!🤣

I immediately thought the elf side looked more curled, volumized and separated and had a much more fluttery natural look. I’m a little biased because I don’t like Benefit mascaras - they always seem to go for, well, va-va-voom and are way too dark and prone to clumping for me

6$ vs 26$ well that sets it for me. Elf wins. I don’t know why companies dupe the packaging, except it shows the similarities. I would place a small stripe down the tube to identify my product. Less law suits. The public could see the difference between the two.

In general, I like dryer formulas, so I might give this a try if it’s stocked in store at any of the retailers that carry ELF. Roller Lash came out so long ago that I feel they had their time to shine. Plus, the formula is slightly different being that one is dryer, that might be a deal breaker for those that preferred the wetter formula.

Love dubes!! I don't know why anyone would not like dubes? I usually by drug store, can't afford high end brands. Have tried minis, in high end makeup, and if I like it, I will buy...when there is a good sale, no sale, I will not be buying! I think dubes are great! I hope more drug store brands will start making more high end dupes!!😊
