I had those same ($7/pair on ebay) pedals on my Goplus bike. At 50 miles, one snapped. I replaced them with the MKS FD-7s. No more flexing and breaking.

Hello , You guys awesome giving reviews for ebikes. You reviewed the Rad power utility.. Which you like better this Elux sierra or Rad power Utility? because I am debating folding ebikes, like Magnum folding , then came up this Rad power ulitity (price wise) and this Elux sierra which I like the tray at the front.. I live in San Francisco. ..Thank you so much

This bike is much like the Rebel . Fat tires, racks, folds up for small storage spaces, both heavy duty looking.

I'm about the same size and weight as Sam. Im wondering how comfortable the bike is for extended periods of time for a bigger guy? I really like this style of bike but want to make sure it would be comfortable for me as I would ride it often.

Court please do a review of the Luna cycle bikes I’m split between buying that or the giant quick + Been reading the forums there and I just need another perspective on the bikes. Also do you think commercial bikes like the giant are underpowered? Or overpriced? I’m thinking of getting there Luna cycle lone wolf roam model

Nice report. Twist throttle is less stress on the thumb, too bad it uses thumb throttle. Also, having to turn off pedal assist to use the throttle isn't good. RadPower allows twist throttle WHILE pedal assist is enabled at any level. This allows you to conserve power using eco mode, but allowing you to quickly twist on more power when you approach as short hill. This momentary throttle option keeps your eye on the trail more, not having to look down to increase the pedal assist level for a hill, using the LCD display that's hard to read, and then potentially forgetting to put it back on Eco mode. Nice bike, but RadPower does it better. However RadPower increased their pricing (no longer $1499) due to the tariffs on China, sorry to say. I like the racks, those look nice, but I always like racks ;-).

Tom Spurlock I agree with you and maybe we didn’t make it clear when this bike was reviewed. the throttle will override the pedal assist at any level and it also works when there’s no assist in level zero. I think the E-lux is a better value in that there is a dealer network that is willing to work on the bikes we sell something Rad e-bikes has failed to do. Four years ago they were begging to get there bikes into our shop I almost said yes but why would I when we had distributors with similar products right in our backyard within 10 miles of my store I can understand if you live in the Pacific Northwest and would agree that the Rad bikes would be a bike to consider. We used to assemble and service their bikes for customers that purchased them online but as of this year we have stopped this service due to to much drama and to long of lead times from some of these online Distributors we now only work on the brands we sell. Work smarter not harder in most cases we take care of our customers with same-day service. We have since been giving referrals to multiple Ebike stores within our area only to be told to stop sending them customers. Now when someone calls or walks in the door with an EBike that we don’t sell all we can do is them to contact the manufactures and wish them good luck.

Those tariffs will encourage some American company to start making E-Bikes. Trump is the worst, but he somehow stumbled on the greatest idea -- that no one ever talks about anymore -- in American economic political history: tariffs. The Democrats ought to adopt tariffs as a platform, then they'd win the Rust Belt once again. Otherwise, get ready for 4 more years of Trump.

My 35 years old commuter bike has a stainless steel fenders .. In those days everything was build for live
@ElectricBikeReview6 жыл бұрын
Cool! Steel tends to reduce dings and dents but is denser than aluminum alloy and may rust. Both have advantages, I think the Sierra looks great and was impressed with how quiet the fenders were, even on rough terrain! How have your fenders been holding up on your 35 year old bike? Is it garaged or has it been exposed to water and stuff?
@Stefan_trekkie6 жыл бұрын
I ride all trough the winter.. With all the salt and chemicals for the snow. The frame already has a little bit rust but nothing major. It is a German Staiger frame. The fenders are stainless steal so they are forever - Weinman. Aluminum alloy stuffs on the bike are gone quickly because of the chemicals . I change old shimano group set for old steal one - Sachs and for two years i have no problems so far. I will be converting soon another one of my bikes to electric. I am amateur racer and i think i don't have the need for e-bike but sometimes i feel tired after hard day on work and stuff and don't want to ride 20 km home in that moment.. So.. the bike will be yearly 80's Swiss made "Tigra" city bike with front/rear racks, stainless steel fenders again . I love that era... I am retro fen steel + chrome is the best. I am looking for bikes on your channel for inspiration. You are showing great bikes.. Keep up the good work my friend and greetings from Europe

The easiest way to check would probably be to call E-Lux and ask if they have any local dealers... if not, perhaps they will sell direct and have it shipped to you . Here's the official site with a link to buy www.eluxbikes.com/sierra-electric-folding-bike

"pan-ee-erz" not "pan-ears" -- please. And what's with the non-stop hand-waving in the frame? Distracting and counter-productive. Drives people to Listen only. And, while I am complaining, please allow me to object to the gratuitous use of "like" as a conversational filler rather than a Verb--as in "I was looking at "like" [fill in the blank]. Aargh!!
@choss78366 жыл бұрын
Man you have the least commonsense videos I’ve ever seen. “If you turn it to much it may stretch the cables” NO! “If you have dirt lot that you ride through” so if I rid 80 miles on the road but have a 10 foot dirt lot I ride through, this might be the bike for me. Lol
@ElectricBikeReview6 жыл бұрын
I'm a little bit confused here because commence means to start or begin but doesn't really fit where you used it in the first sentence. The second sentence, where you quote me, is indeed true... if you raise the stem to the max height and turn hard, it will stretch or disconnect cables. Finally, if you wish to have stability and comfort on dirt lots, snow, or sand, this is a great choice for an ebike because it can handle varied terrain. Would you care to clarify so I can help you out :)

Hi Jer! My guess is that yes, they will ship to Boston... or maybe they already have a dealer nearby where you could buy a fully assembled one. Try calling or emailing E-Lux to double check and ask about dealers, their official page is at www.eluxbikes.com/sierra-electric-folding-bike
