Very nice restoration, but why didn't you turn it on to testy it when you finished?
@kaspersworkshopmanners
@kaspersworkshopmanners Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I did turn it on at the and right before I put on the decals. I thought a test would not add any value in this case… maybe I’m wrong.🤔 I’ll bare this in mind for future video’s!

Excellent job- but you didn’t grease bearings.
@kaspersworkshopmanners
@kaspersworkshopmanners Жыл бұрын
Hi Gary, you noticed that very well! Actually I did grease them but only after editing the video. It struck me when I watched the video myself. Then I partially disassembled the device and greased the bearings. Thanks for your comment and I hope you liked the video!

en este caso es preferible utilizar rulimanes sellados

You are absolutely right. I was focusing on keeping it as original as possible and used the same bearings that came of. But I agree, there is nothing wrong with an upgrade like sealed bearings. Thanks for your reply I keep this in mind! 🙏🏻

These screws, washers and nuts are not old enough to have any historical value. You don't have to restore them, you can replace them with new ones.

Hi Wayne, most of the time I do, absolutely! Maybe not during assembly for instance but when it gets dusty or nasty I wear a mask.

I should have used those… I wanted to restore as close to original as possible but some improvements are just smart to do… Like stampless bearings.😅

Everything looks very nice except for the thickness used in the piece created as a base and in electricity that turn that you made to the cable to prevent it from moving is not recommended either, but boy, not everything is perfect in this life, a hug and blessings😊
@kaspersworkshopmanners
@kaspersworkshopmanners Жыл бұрын
I must agree with you Ogle, the thickness of the metal was a gamble. Time will tell if it holds but next time I will use thicker metal, if only because it makes welding a lot easier! 😉 And that knot in the cable along with the ground cable being to short… lesson learned here! Thanks for your comment and I hope you enjoyed the video. A big hug and blessings back to you! 🙏🏻
