Thank you SO much for this. I've had this camera for nearly two years and I've learned more in one hour than in the whole time I was trying to get my head around the semi-useless camera manual. Great stuff, thanks.

fantastic video for someone like me who just brought this camera and hates reading manuals (I just can't get my head around them). being able to follow you and try everything along with you makes it so much easier to understand and implant it in my memory. I have downloaded your video and put it on my iPad so I can watch it over again when I need it as I take my camera out and start using and learning what it can do.

I am happy that you spent so much time with this camera ! I recently purchased an EM-10 Mark III and I was a little bit confused by some of the settings. It's a great little camera. It is my first micro four thirds and I was pleasantly surprised by the resulting images.

An update for the E-M10ii and/or E-M10iii would be greatly appreciated. Also, adding the optional grip available from Olympus really helps in improving the handling of these cameras when using heavier lenses such as the 12-40 Pro and 75-300 zoom. I keep the grip on my M10 all the time and have ordered one to go with the M10ii that I just ordered!

Excellent tutorial. Just bought an EM10 for my little army of manual lenses...I think I have about 20 of them last count. From Canon to Nikon to Helios to Jupiter to Konica to Pentax Takumar. With the Focal Reducer + fast 1.4's + in-body image stabilization...can't wait for the low light challenge.

Super helpful and well thought-out, just picked up an em10 and the 20mm Lumix lens as my grabngo/travel camera and I have to say I actually like it better than my big DSLR. This changed my mind completely. I'll be picking up the book / videos and working through the content as well. Thanks again and looking forward to learning more!

Thanks for this great tutorial ! As it sounds, the "multifunction" Fn option does not enable only the highlights/shadows settings, but it actually enables you to assign several functions to a single button. To do that, just keep the the Fn pushed and spin the back wheel to display the several options ;) This is the case on the Mark II, but it guess it is the same here

Thanks for the video. I just upgraded from my D5100 and I do HD Video commercial shooting with DSLR, namely in the last two years with the D5100. It way paid for itself but it lacked some control, which I worked around to get some pretty good stuff and got paid for it. Now with your video, I understand the settings of the new cam and reinforced my purchase decision. Too bad you don't have some tips on how the use the video side but I am sure I will figure it out. Again, thanks for your video and I will be purchasing your book. I just started shooting stills for clients in the last three years, thus expanding my skill set, along with my video production and learning from you and your crew is awesome. Thanks gang!

Quick comment about the BULB mode. There are two settings for BULB mode, one is Live BULB which is explained in this tutorial, but there is also Live TIME. To get to Live TIME scroll left one more time on the shutter dial. Live Time allows you to press once to open the shutter and press again when you want to close it. This means you don't need to hold your finger on the shutter. Also means that if you're cheap like me, you don't need to buy a remote shutter release.
